The first day of games was phenomenal. Nearly everyone had a 'have fun' mentality rather than a 'win at any costs' one, which resulted in smooth games all day long. And everybody gets along with each other. You just don't see this level of camaraderie between teams at any other event, nor the amount of honor and integrity with which everybody played. It was truly remarkable. To anybody who's gained a bitter or jaded outlook towards tournaments recently, play the Owner's Group Division.

The reffing was absolutely spectacular. I can't say enough about what a good job these guys did. This crew was 10x better than the guys last year.

Kevin, the event coordinator, did a fantastic job putting this event together. Just like last year, the Owner's Group Division is the highpoint of IAO.

On a humorous note, the POG Teams had a catered lunch for the entire Owner's Group Division. Somebody was trying to win Sportsmanship, me thinks. Considering it's 5 Vikes, I can't say I blame 'em.

I played for BEOG. We had two teams - RMOG and BEOG, and we received our custom jerseys in the mail yesterday. Talk about cutting it close. It was great seeing spectators realize that we were, in fact, wearing jerseys that said "Brass Eagle" all over them. Oddly enough, Palmers guys still get that, too. All day long, people seemed surprised every time one of our teams or Palmers teams won a game.

Just like last year, it was great to get out there and put faces to the screennames. It's kinda funny - even after you meet them, you still refer to many of these guys/gals by their SN's rather than their first names. Habit, I guess.

My team was eliminated, but I don't care. We had a blast every game. Fubarious used his Golden Eagle one game, and shot more paint (hopper and two pods) than I did that game with my RM. At dinner, he said his finger was still sore from pulling that heavy, heavy trigger so many times. He also had a Morrlocked Avenger (that RIPPED) that didn't want to shoot above 210fps for much of the day, until he switched the gun body with another one he happened to have, at which point the velocity changed to 280. Bad internal tolerances in the first one, I would assume. We managed to mostly avoid the 'IAO Rainmaker curse' - only something like 3 guns went down on us, including two broken feednecks. Rainman229 used a Rainmaker with a broken feedneck for 6 or 7 games. He had to keep his hopper straight or it wouldn't feed. He brought at least half a dozen Rainmakers to the event, including a custom double-barreled (Nasty-style) Rainmaker, but the one that broke was the one he wanted to use, so he used it. I guess he's stubborn that way. Interestingly, the Tippmann Team had more gun problems than we did.

I think I'm gonna have to end this post now. I've been up since 530 and I'm beat. Later.

Hey now, that's not fair. We put up a good fight and held you guys off for a couple minutes before you rolled all over us. We fared better than many other teams, even though we got maxed.

The new milled sidewinder is well... I don't dig it. Think Ergo reg on steriods, it's ribbed and the swivel collar or whatever you'd like to call it is big, and akward looking. Nothing heard nor seen on the new marker. We placed forth overall, this morning went pretty rough. The "non" Rainmaker OG beat on us pretty good. The game we played for third or forth we let AIR powered take third and both teams did a run through off break and shot the crap out of each other, great game to end it all!

Exactly. Spartan has pics of the winder body. My dad got video of the last game but I haven't seen it myself yet. I'll see what I can do once I get home. We started calling RMOG team RAT. Rainmakers, AKA, and Timmy. It was a really nice event; great teams and everything. I think Riddler gave the best in depth description.

You guys played great. Did anybody really expect Rainmakers to last through two days of play? Chris's red machine was an absolute beast, but other than that, every one of your guns had quirks. I'm building a clone to that gun for next year. It'll just be a different color.

Even our Team BEOG guns had problems, but we were able to make it through Thursday using 100% BE markers.

yeah, your RMs worked from the get go, and are very lucky lol. It got to the point when we didnt have enough time to adjust our guns after every game. After we made semis, we werent going to waste our money and time by going out on the field 2 guns down.
