Help with Micromag air leak

Got my PTP Micromag in the mail the other day and decided to run some air through it to see how well it aired up with CO2. I dry fired it a few times and then I heard a little pop sound. There was a heavy air leak that sprung from the breech. This is my first Automag and I'm honestly clueless where to begin. Can you guys help me out?

I don't run CO2 on any of my guns, it tends to cause problems with the O-Rings. check your powertube o-ring. that might be it.

Probably a power tube o-ring.

Yup ^^^^^^

Probably first thing to do is simply start from scratch and replace all of the o-rings. Kits are quite cheap.

With fresh rings and some decent lubrication (nothing worse than seeing a dry mag), it should take off and run.

Also, if you can find the Airgun Designs tech video, watch it. It describes how, when you gas up your gun, you can determine what part of the internals are leaking.

I appreciate the help guys, I've replaced the powertube oring and there still is having a heavy leak down the barrel. This has been pretty disheartening for my first Mag.

Yeah, I did. It appeared to exactly the problem he had, air leaking down the barrel but the on/off still worked. Is there a way I could possibly putting the powertube oring in wrong?

I don't think so really.

Powertube O-ring goes in the bottom, spacer, and cap with it's own O-ring.

If it is a new o-ring, it may need some good lube.

The other question is if the on/off valve is possibly leaking. Those stupid little rings can get put in wonky. I generally lube that assembly liberally.

Spacers come in different lengths. The wrong size can cause that kind of leak.
