very big, loud leak in my dm5

i gaassed up my dm5, to test it. even with the on/off off theres a large leak that sounds like its under the bolt, and only gets bigger if i turn the on/off on.

any ideas??

well i dont understand if it would be under your bolt. with the on off off then no air should be going through ur gun except throuh the bottomline and reg , so it sounds strange to be under your bolt. check all your orings, relube it, and then try it again

im out of air now. i cant even find where the air was leaking, it was just a loud heavy hiss coming from the body

Check the o-rings on the on-off. Obviously if it is off and air is getting to the bolt, there is problems with the on/off at least. When the on/off is half between it sounds like the air is coming from around the bolt, so it might fix your problem entirely.

before i read you post i completely gutted my gun. lpr, bolt, on/off. the clear oring on my on/off was shreaded. and thanks to PaintbyNumbers i got that all sorted out, although my oring kit dident come with #12 orings for it

#012 o-ring is not the correct size.

The clear o-ring in the on/off should be a #009 urathane o-ring. if thte #009 o-ring keeps shreading when you use it, or have an extremely difficult time installing it, try a #008 o-ring.

Sometimes a Buna-nitride o-ring can suffice in emergencies.

Make sure you lube all the rings when reassembling.
