Frame Screw Fubared!!! Help!!!

(...I'll try to get pics if there needed...)

The trigger frame screw (back of gun) has been stripped. Not the threads but the top where you put the allen key.

Any one have any idea how I can remove it without cutting in the frame?

Thanks in advance...

Nik

Super glue on the end of an allen key, let it dry in the stripped hole and then attempt to turn away.

carefully use a dremel with a cutting wheel and cut a notch in the head so you can use a flat head screw driver.

naw, the ez-outs dont work too well... just do the dremel - flathead trick. That's the best.

Super glue probably wont hold. JB weld the allen key in. Usually works great.

i had the exact same problem, the screw head was stripped right from the start, not a little but TONS

i tried everything and after like 8 hours of work i got it out, but the frame took quite the beating.....

the only thing that worked is a drill bit to remove stripped screws..

its very hard to get that screw out because its hard to reach with a drill straight on , but only on a angle..

Use the JB Weld, dont get a dremel or any other power tool near your marker. Ugly scratches and you feeling a bit foolish will always be the outcome!

i used a drill bit (smaller than the stripped screw) and reversed it out.

the drill bit's tip was broke so the threads were able to dig in. just back out slowly while apply ample pressure.

Well I got it out.... finally. I ended up drilling the head off with an appropriate bit. Then I took off the hyper reg ASA and unscrewed the other frame screw. I lifted the frame off and unscrewed the remaining peice from the body.

One of the scariest things I've done to a pball gun. No scratches tho... I just took my time.

Thanks for all of your suggestions!!!

Nik
