Question Why compressed air?

Why have I heard so much about why I have to use compressed air in a BKO. This is because I just bought a 2004 BKO and can't afford a HPA tank just right now, maybe in a couple of months. Will CO2 hurt my gun, because my friend has been running CO2 since last summer on the same gun!

Electronic solinoids don't like liquid Co2.
Use an anti siphon tube, and a HPR that likes Co2, and you should be fine.

You can get a used 48/3k HPA tank here in the B/S/T forums for $45-50 if you look around. That'd be cheaper than buying an antisiphon kit + good CO2 reg, and it's certainly cheaper than buying a new solenoid.

i second that. co2 is great if your going to spend the money on a good setup, but dont try and go cheap on it or you'll just get bad results. i use co2 not because i'm poor (which i am haha), but because the nearest hpa fill is 45 minutes away

You can use CO2, but be prepared to drop $60 on a new noid, and your entire day at the field getting ruined because liquid got into your noid..

Just assume it will happen, or at least don't expect it to not. I wouldn't recomend CO2 for anything more then testing regs or seals.

HP > c02

because it doesnt blow noids, way better shot to shot sonsistancy and chronoing, easier on regs, o-rings and such.

So, will an anti-siphon tube work good just by itself without getting a HPR?

i actualy have never seen proof of co2 busting a noid by over presureization, if there is to much presure it would just vent, co2 may break one of the seals in th noid though, but you can buy those speratly anyway for like 5 bucks
