how do take off the trigger, the pin does not have an alen key tip, and i dont want to take a hammer to it. is there something im missing?

no...thats how u get it out i take like a chizzel w/ a very very very fine point and then just gently tap it away but dont hit hard and be very careful i havent had any trouble doing it that way yet

do i tap from the led side to get it out or the other side?

no one side is parachuted ... dont hit that side go to the other

Yeah, one side is bad to hit and the other is good, you can put it back in any way you want so long as the "parachuted" side is put in first. Tap it in and there ya go!

If you hit the wrong side a parachute with a big dye logo on it will come out. kids these days...

one side is "mashed" a little bit so that when it goes in it holds the pin in snug.
you want to hit it from the opposite side of that, usually the from right to left if you were shooting with it.

YOU DO NOT WANT TOP PUT THAT SIDE IN FIRST!!!!!
if you do you can strech out the holes in the trigger frame making the pin fall out very easily.

edit: you should put it back in the same way because that side of the frame is already stretched a little bit.
