Fort Assault-

Number of Players: 8+
Rules: There are two forts, usually something you can actually go inside, or at least something surrounded by walls. Each of the two team gets a fort, and the object of the game is to eliminate the opposing team. If you mark someone, they must go back to your fort. The only way to get them back in is to tag them. It's fun because you need to designate offense and defense on your team.

Tip: Better to play with people you trust, because if someone gets tagged they might try to sneak out, or lie about being shot and saying the mark was from last time they got captured. lots of fun.

P.S. when we played we set up a little shelf in each "Prison" that the prisoners put their guns, so when they got back in they could grab it.

Woodsball
Min Players - 5
Max Players - 30

You have 2 types of people playing this game: crooks & security guards.
For every crook there are 3 guards. In the event of uneven numbers, extra players are guards.

Guards have 1 life/hit. Crooks have 3 lives/hits.
The objective is to get the "Goods" to your destination. Starting play, you have points A B and C. Guards start at A with the box of "Goods" (a literal box or something large that must be carried) It takes 2 people to carry the goods. So at all times if the box is moving at least 2 people must have 1 hand each on the box. 1 Person can drag the box by one end but it takes two to carry. The guards are trying to get from point A to point B (minimum 100yrd distance) Somewhere along the way the crooks are lieing in wait (up to them where or how) Whenever they choose the crooks can ambush the guards, kill them and take the goods. Once the crooks have the goods, they must get it to point C. The only problem is once a guard is shot, he has to walk back to point A, once he does he is respawned and free to jump back in. Same for the crooks, once a crook is shot he must go to point C to be respawned.

The best way to play is in a "L" shape with points A B & C so the distances are fair. It may seem easy but it takes a long time and is alot of fun. The game ends when "the goods" reach either point B or C.

Another variation is VIP Jughead. Same layout, the only difference is the "goods" is "The President" who walks around blind (with a jug or something on his head) to which he cannot take off. The president can only walk if someone is escorting him by the hand. He walks with whoever is holding his hand to any destination, no questions asked. If the president is shot anywhere at any time he dies and everyone loses game over. Otherwise the crooks get him to point C and the guards to point B. Rest of the rules still apply.

Hope you enjoy it, for any additional questions feel free to PM me.

And yes - gaurds/crooks don't have to stay together, they can free roam and they don't have to stick to any certain path. Make it realistic.

Here is a fun one: we call it "EGG HUNT"

Number of players: at least 4, the more the better, but you need enough eggs.

Field type: you can play wherever you want; it works best in an open area with some cover.

Set up: to start off you need to fill plastic Easter eggs with paintballs, no more than 3 per egg (have empty eggs too) the number of eggs usually should be like 10 per person playing. Hide the eggs in the playing area, if you want to, have someone who is not playing hide them.

Rules: everyone starts off with no paintballs. Play till one man is left standing.

This gets really fun, because you are looking for the eggs, and need to watch out for the other players, because you don't know who has paintballs.

that sounds AWSOME!!! me must try dis

this weekend eight of us took a trail through the woods that was about 200 yards long and hung cheap battery operated tap lights every 30 yards or so along the trail and under the lights a basket full of plastic easter eggs with numbers on them to designate the check point. the object being to negotiate the trail and collect as many eggs as possible while taking the least amout of hits time limit one hour. it turned out to be a blast and we ended up staying out almost all night! btw no full auto was allowed and you were allowed only three shots per target.

about 3-6 people are prisoners and 6-9 guards
basicly the point of the game for the prisoners is to get to one side of the field without being shot and the point for the gaurds is to eliminate all the prisoners
you can do this game multiple ways you can do this
most of the time the prisoners wont have guns but sometimes you can give a gun (possibly a pump gun) to one of the prisoners
for the gaurds you can either set them up at spots on the field or have them chase after the prisoners after they get a running start
this game is great at night

I played a game out in the open when I first played paint ball as well. The game had all players standing in lines about 50 feet away. The coin was tossed to see which team shoots first. We were all noobs so even trying to hit each other out in the open like that was difficult.

After the first team shoots, they take two steps forward and the other teams turn to shoot now. The process repeats until only one player is left standing, it was a fun game but very short. I liked the team games we played afterwards better but though it still deserves a mention here. Anyone know the name of the game we played??

I like this one

Game: Mercy
Players: At least 2 (I dont think it would work with one)
Field: Anything open

Basics: Divide players into two teams and unload on each other until someone runs out of paint or cant take it anymore.

Restrictions: Yes
no cups
no tears
no screams
no being a little girl and running away
if you run out of paint before the other guy, well, then your just screwed

Name of game variant:Fox and the hound
Optimum number of players:10+
Field type: woodsball
Rules:There will be two teams. Its a 1/3 rule(1/3 being the fox's 2/3 being the hounds)
-Fox's get full hopper and packs of paint and a head start.
-Hounds must wait 45 seconds at starting base before they can start and try to find and shoot the Fox's.
-Hounds only get a hopper of paint NO packs or any extra paint.
-one shot you are out rule and no respawns.
-Fox's can do anything as far as hiding goes or setting up ambushes.
-The objective of the game is to win and knock out all the other teams players.

And any other important stuff you can think of.

This game is very fun and used to be my favorite. The absolute best amount of people would be 24 1/3= 8 fox's 2/3 16 hounds. The Hounds can not hide and must travel the field to find and eliminate all the Fox's.

I've done that one and walked away with a lot of bruises but not much of a bruised ego.

Ok this one is a bit different.

Better for small groups, min 3, anything over 10 people would probably be too time consuming (never tried more than 6 people).

Everyman for himself with a twist.

Start of the game everyone puts their name on a slip of paper and then puts it in a hat(or whatever). Everyone then takes turn drawing out names. Then people go out on the field and start where ever they like. When the game starts you pull out the slip and that person is the only one your allowed to eliminate! When(or if) you find that person and eliminate them you get to take there slip and that will be your new target. This goes on and on until there is only one person left. The winner is the one with the most kills/slips of paper at the end. This motivates people to go hunting instead of hiding.

How this works:
You shoot your target and call out his name "Hey James, your my target, your dead now". The killer comes up, shows James his name on his slip of paper to confirm the kill then takes James' slip to be his new target.

If you shoot your target and he has your name then its a wild card. You are free to shoot anyone out, when you do you take their slip and the proceed onto your next target.

If you shoot someone and do not have there name, they are not eliminated at all. So if your hunter has found you, you are in serious trouble. You can shoot at him to buy yourself time or keep his head down, but you cannot eliminate him.

This makes for a pretty intense game of cat and mouse. You want to get out there and hunt, but are always fearful of being hunted.

Lightbulb I got 4 good games

I got 4 good games

GAME 1

Name of game variant: Team Leader

Optimum number of players: between 3-4 on each team

Field type: Just an open field with a couple of bunkers on each side.

Rules: Each leader wears an orange vest or something to identify them. All players have guns. The object of the game is to shoot and hit the enemy leader. If your leader is alive, you can get hit as many times as you want without getting out, unless you plead mercy from getting hit too much . Once your leader has been hit, your infinite hits on your body is gone, and next time you're hit, you're out.

And any other important stuff you can think of: Try to make a rule with you and your friends that doesnt just have the leader sit in one spot the whole time.

GAME 2

Name of game variant: Dare-Devil Capture the Flag

Optimum number of players: 4 on each team.

Field type: Just an open field with a couple of bunkers on each side, and just a little cover in between each base

Rules: Normally in capture the flag, the flags go on the respective team's side. Not this time. The flags are placed right next to each-other, in between the bases. The little cover that is in the middle of the field is your only cover while trying to get the flag. There are 2 ways to win:

1: Your entire team gets out (To get out, you simply need to be hit once)
2: You capture the other teams flag

Other important things: MAKE SURE THERE IS SUFFICIENT COVER IN THE MIDDLE, otherwise, getting the flag will be near impossible.

GAME 3

Name of game variant: Limited-Ammo Elimination

Optimum number of players: 3-4 on each team.

Field type: Just an open field with a couple of bunkers on each side, and just a little cover in between each base

Rules: Normally in a paintball match, if you run out of paintballs, you can re-fill. Not this time. Each person fills up their hopper to the max (or if you want to be fair, each person gets roughly 100 paintballs in their hopper). The challenge is to make your bullets accurate, and lasting. If you run out of ammo, you're out. If you're hit, you're out.

Other important things: Not much.

GAME 4

Name of game variant: Doubles

Optimum number of players: 4 teams of 2

Field type: Just an open field with a few bunkers and other cover spread out.

Rules: Each team starts at a different point in the field. All it is is that you have one partner, and your objective is to eliminate all the other teams. The challenge is that you can be fighting one team, then suddenly another team flanks you and pwn's you when you aren't even paying attention.

Other important things: Teamwork. You and your partner need to communicate in order for success.
