^^The best argument for why it is better to finish high school instead of dropping out and dicking around with a GED.

happiness will be fleeting as age comes on. What he considers to be a confortable living now will not be in the future. You don't have to be rich to be happy, you have to be confortable to be happy. My Fathers famous words when I graduated was: "It is not a want of wealth, it's a want of personal freedom." They really are true words. Of course he may be able to do just fine on a GED, I have a friend who runs a successful landscaping business and he only has a GED. So who knows what the future holds, but I would prefer to be armed with the tools to handle whatever it is.

The main issue with dropping out of high school and just getting a GED is that many people don't follow through with the GED part. Getting a GED is actual hard work, particularly for those people who have other things going on in their life, ie: work, kids, money issues, etc. In the long run it is usually easier to just finish high school. Its only four years, after all. Then, when high school is over, if you are still disliking the very idea of any more school, find a job and work for a year. After that year, rethink about going to college or taking college courses at a community college. The fantastic thing about community colleges is the flexibility of the class schedule that will enable you to continue working while taking classes.

Now go reread what Tiny wrote.^^

Give it time sport. Mods are always hated when they first start, because that's when they do the most work. With a bit of time they start to chill, and people start to like them more.

I was able to get my 8 grade 12 credits in little over 2 months, I graduated a year ahead of my friends... Homeschool is easy and it only takes up maybe 2-3 hours of your day. **** the GED, correspondence is the answer.

it looks like kids who are under 18 who want to take the test in Georgia still have to enroll in special classes to be eligible to take the test. Good luck with that.

I'm a high school counselor/teacher/administrator, so please listen...a GED sux monkey nuts compared to a diploma. Employers are gonna look for certain steps you achieve throughout your lifetime. The first step is high school. If you can't finish that, then they're gonna think you're a slacker and won't waste their time on you. You might be able to go to a community college, but if you don't want to go to college, you're gonna be screwed. There are plenty of high school graduates without any ambition in life who will take any job given to them, and they'll get the job before you because they at least finished high school.

Like someone else said, talk with a counselor or a teacher you like or trust.
