Break world record

i have been looking in the guiness book of world records looking for a record that i think i could break and i found one i think i could do. Longest movie marathon. the current record is 59 hr some odd min (as of 2002 i dont have a more recent edition) any way me and my friends are thinking about trying to break it. most of us have gone longer ten 2 days without slepp (my record is 54 hour and i was feeling fine) alll we would do is sit in a rented theather watching movies and drinking. if we do this we will be in the gueness book of world records witch would be awsome.

It'll cost you a ****load to rent a theater, and I highly doubt a projector could run for 50+ hours straight.

It's not you, really. It's just that I now giggle at the thought of breaking a world record. Maybe a theater would "sponsor" you guys. Indy theaters are more likly.

I have a different idea for something you could try... most consecutive failures... You wouldn't be in there for very long, but there isnt a set record yet and you could just screw up an assload of times and be in. not that hard for you

Good Luck.
and good idea.

Guess what PBNation, i'm going to get into guiness by sitting at home and watching 72 straight hours of movies. That's just 2 nights without sleep. I was in the Army and i've stayed up longer then that. hahaha, too easy.

Thanks for the idea Dr. Pepper 86
hahahahahahhahahahahaha.

Hey Dr. Pepper86, if you ever come up with a cool invention, post it here too, so we can all know how cool you are.

That's a lot of movies to watch. Plus you have to sit and watch them all. Staying up for 54 hours and sitting watching movie for 59 are completely different. I don't know about you but I would fall asleep during a movie after like 40 hours or so.

gotta be awake. i just contacted guiness. i talked to one of their people and they said they need to have someone from guiness the whole time and they would rotate people out to make sure i didn't fall sleep. They said the soonest they can send someone to verify the record is in 3 months.
