sonic bolt

hey i got a black sonic cyborg bolt
and i put it in the cyborg
and it seems like its realy tight b/c of the orings should i lube the orings or what
would it hurt if i took the orings off
it seems like it would slow the borg down with the friction from the o rrings
anyone else have this problem

Does it need to be oil or can you lube those o-rings with grease, like DOW 33?

grease will create too much friction.... it will actually slow the bolt down.... definitely use oil

you can find triflow at a local bike shop (its chain lubricant). and dont get the spray-on kind that comes in a can.

i also had the problem. oil fixed it. but its still kinda stiff. could it be the ram not being greased up enough?

if its your ram most likely its because it has too much grease. to check, just move the ram piston back and forth with your hands or with the gun assembled and bolt removed, put the bolt pin into the gun and move back and forth. normally about half the friction force you feel is from the ram and the rest is from the bolt

yeah if your ram is lubed correctly and its still tight? then its most likely because the bolt is new..... my sonic bolt started off tight..... i kept it lubed and now its a very free moving part
