Mayhem Trigger Frames.

I just picked up a Mayhem for a winter break project gun and the first thing I'd like to change on it is the trigger frame. What frames do you suggest and how have you all go about modding them to fit. I know several of you on the board have done such conversions and I'm curious as to how you did it. I haven't even seen the gun yet, so I can't even speculate any ways to do it, but I'd like to have some ideas in mind before I start.

Second, a few of you got the new Morlock board and were trying to install it in the Mayhem. How well did this work and what sort of board programming skill did it take to get it working?

How about switching out noids? Anyone have any experience in that?

Thanks!

ok i have a pretty big forum i started about different mods to the mayhem but anyways, from what i've experienced it a must to get a new board, that stock ones all kinds of hell. If you can get a hold of a predator morlock do it, not a mini morolock but the ones from tag sportz. The mini morlock is still real nice and its almost becoming my only option but it you can find a way to get ahold of a predator morock i'd do it. On the pgi website there is a double trigger frame with no picture i'm not really sure of what the deal is on that. Also it depends on how jerry rigged you want stuff to be. Ive milled the trigger to make for a larger area for a wider trigger. I have also removed the trigger gaurd to make room for a double trigger and then glued a larger trigger gaurd back on, like i said jerry rigged. anyways you could put any trigger frame from a solenoid controlled marker and have it retrofitted to the mayhem.

Thanks for your reply. I wonder if any has tried puting an Impulse frame on one. I'm going to have to see about that. I've also got a spare clammy lying around from a gun I parted out sometime back so I'm going to have to look at that, too.

no reason it wouldn't work youd just have to get the board set up right, a good idea would be a new board like a morlock from km2 or tap sportz preferably tag but i am having a hell of a time getting anything out of them.
I probably should have took some other trigger, i would just really like something in the 90 degree area so i'm still kinda looking for something like that, mabey an angel trigger, anyways yeah it will work, just has to me milled and set up right

I.. I remember

2 year and many kegs ago I too did the diy double trigger swap. The double trigger is from aci, don't ask what gun I don't remember. The swap is fairly simple. Remove sear from new frame, insert mircoswitch from old frame, drill a hole /or dremmel a channel for your solnoid wire depending what version you have.

It would take a lot of work to mate an impulse frame to a mayhem. The switch for the imp is in the body not the frame.

I'll take a look on ACI's site tonight and give them a call on Monday. See if they've got anything to say about it. After recieving the Mayhem in the mail and thoroughly disassembeling it I was starting to think that making a new rail with a simple piece of aluminium, a tap and die set, a drill and an autococker double trigger frame was going to be my best option.

Now tell me the that is not the same frame that is currently on your mayhem.

"ACI F4 XP" is the frame you want!!! That is the exact frame i put on my mayhem.

OMG! Thats almost drop dead funny! So basically I've got to go find myself a double trigger frame that will fit an Illustrator. Now that is a whole hell of a lot easier.
