Ripper**a-bomb**empire**dark*** Holy Caca ???

Need your Help!
I recenty purchased a species intimidator(love it) I decided to sell my other gun so i can purchase an upgrade, make the species a back up...Holy cow!! i did not realize how many obtions of intimidators are out there. I need you guys , on this forum to guide me a little. Here was my criteria

Low maintenance---Efficiency---Resale value---Looks--- And fully loaded out of box.

A few that ive looked at are

Ripper---A bomb---Empire---Dark---Russian--Alias--Ironman---Naughty Dogs

The only difference i can see between some of these guns is weight, design and manufacture also price.

I really need some direction here.
Any response would be greatly appreciated.

I, personally, would get an A-Bomb if i had money to blow. If your strapped for cash then just get an Alias, there all great.

It is such a personal preference choice. You would have possibly been better to make a poll rather than just have everyone post.

The Empire and Russian are the ones that grab me by the unmentionables....

The alias is lightest and the best IMO. They are all the same for the exception of the Empire and ironman.
I beleive the empire uses the old style body along with old style everythign else except for the reg housings and frame. The ironman I beleive is based off the old style timmys as well.

A bomb and ripper 2 are lighter than the Alias.

Thanks

Appreciate all your responses.
Regarding the question of maintenance, between the guns i have listed and the ones you gentlemen just posted. Is their a difference---which ones are prone to break downs---by reputation or personal experience, your opinions please.

Cisco

Everyone of those guns will peform exactly the same and require the same maintenance. They are all the same exact guns with the only difference being the body/milling. None are prone to breaking down if you maintain them properly and they all have an excellent reputation.

edit-what i said goes for all of the 2k4 platform guns exluding the empire. The empire will be almost exactly the same as the others, but not completely.

Every 2k4/5 timmy is the same gun, with different milling.

The exception is some may come with a different trigger, ram cap, or grips.

And if you want to make a sweeping statement like that I have to add the Empire is not a "true" 2k4 timmy. It is a hybrid of the old and the new. It is however a great gun and can be had on the boards for a very good price.

This guy is a F'in idiot. Its not Hiroshima, first of all because in 1930-1950 they didnt have high rise buildings like those, and it would be an insult to recreate that on the gun. It is no city in particular

Basically what most of the other members said.

It's all milling/weight, with the Empire being the exception. Maintenance will still be the same with every model. The Empire is a hybrid between the old and new Intimidators, and for some reason still costs more than the Alias. Makes no sense to me at all.

In my opinion, the Alias may be the way to go. You can pick one up very cheap, they are pretty much the lightest Intimidator out (the Ripper 2 supposedly weighs 1.3, I've held one next to my Alias and it feels heavier), and they will shoot just as good as any other timmy.

As far as weight, let's assume the ripper 2 weighs 1.3, it won't feel any different than the Alias.

Base it on what you think looks the best and what you're willing to spend. The Dark timmy will come with a Lucky 15 stock barrel, function trigger, function bolt, and function cap.

thanks again

thanks again!
for all your opinions and taking time to help a fellow paintballer come to a decision.
Ok! ive narrowed it down to

Alias---A-bomb---Warped

Last criteria--Retained value

Which one of these guns will retain a better resale value?
based on your opinions and what you've seen on the selling forums.

Again, i know you guys are answering questions that are problably comman knowledge or have been discused befor among timmy owners. More the reason to Thank you! for taking up your time.

Oh ya!
Investorguy....sweet gun.Diffinitely a must if i decide to go with an A-bomb

Really hard to say. Different people are willing to take different offers for their markers.

I've seen Atomix Intimidators go for as a low as $1100, Alias's as low as $900, Dark's as low as $1100.

Base it on what marker you think looks the best and what you're willing to spend. I doubt any of those markers will hold their value more than the other.

Alias's are the most massed produced, so expect that to have the worst resale out of the three.
