Question LED Mod on Impy

\Does anyone know of a mod to put on an Impy where you can put an LED on the side of it? Kinda like what it looks like on the Glacier board.I want to put a green LED on the left side of my gun that is on when the gun is on and possibly put a blue led on the back in place of the stock LED. Anyone tried this? If so how did it work? Got ne pics??? Thanks!

Mike

Hmm where should I start. First off it would not be really hard to do for anyone with some basic electronics knowlege. You would have to have a hole drilled on the left side of your gun for the lef to show through. I don't see why you would want and LED to stay on while the gun is on becuse it will run the battery down faster and wold not be worth it. If you wanted a blue battery that would be harder because of the fact that blue LEDs run off a higher voltage than a regular LED. No metetr what you did some soldering would be invlolved. I have thought about doing this to my own Impulse before and it does require a few things to be done that are just not worth it.

Well i don't know if the voltage is right, but you can always use those little circle batteries as your power source. If the voltage it too high you can use a resistor.

Right, the whole idea of adding one is simple. But, it wouldn't be worth the effort.
