How do pros get away with it?

Hey, it looked awesome when gator flipped a guys off after getting shot in the hopper, but is that well......legal, could I walk into a local tourney, get sot, and flip the guy off in the open? Thanks in advanced-

Charles

PS: I would probably not do that anyways......

I've seen players get penalized in local tournies for bad language and some "unsportsman" like gestures.

Depends on the ref most of the time, if you know the refs they'll probably just laugh.

yea a lot of local tourneys do have a language/bad gesture rule... but i think that the major events realize that a lot is up for grabs and theyve got to let a little tension out some way... now if they just screamed like crazy and **** liek that.. lol that **** would need to be taken care of

Gun throwing is usually the ultimate in symbolizing rage or frustration, willing to break your gun just because you got shot out.
Usually i'd just throw a hopper or pod or something, not the expensive gun.

in the ND infamous game at world cup, the ND coach thought all the infamous players were out so he told them to get the flag and they were running it in casually, and there was an infamous player in the doritos and he popped out and shot them both. the flag carrier flipped off his coach, and the entire crowd. if i remember correctly, we either gave him a 2 or 5 minute penalty

I bet he took a couple bonus balls in that pic. So it was a wash.

But anyway who cares, we used to step on each others throats in football, and talk about each others moma in basketball. The unviersal hello never hurt ne1, just makes em mad.

i think it was completely bull-**** when at NPPL vegas, nicky cuba got pulled in the finals for swearing....it's a gay rule as it is, but you don't pull a player for something like that in the finals...

well to answer yer question:
yes you can be pulled for it, it falls under unsportsman like conduct. and it's also at a reff's discretion.

gator may have gotten away with it, but for the most part we are on that stuff.

one of the dynasty guys flipped off the reff's and said he was flipping off the coach or crowd or something and i still gave him a 2 minute penalty for unsportsman like conduct. so just a bit of advice: not a good idea to try it unless you can afford a two minute or a points deduction.

like was stated before, just becuase you see a pro or div. 1 player do it doesnt mean you can always get away with it.....
