Frenzy 15BPS Mystery- ** TESTED **

Here is the deal guys, I know many of us have a gut feeling the Frenzy board is magically capped at 15bps.

Last night I had an idea-

I found a brand new Eggy JVON prop I had for a spare. If you have never felt a JVON prop, it's like a semi stiff rubber prop.

I decided to mount the prop to an adjustable speed cordless drill. Basically, I ran a drywall screw through the prop, and into a piece of macro line. It seemed to work very well.

Now after initial testing, I came the conclusion that the prop wasnt allowing the trigger to reset fast enough, so I cut the prop down from 6 blades to 3.

I put the gun on Dry Fire (S) mode, and was only able to get a max of 16bps. I tried all different speeds, and on dry fire, it never went higher than 16bps.

Now, I did do a quick run with some paint. I put the gun on a stand, filled my Empire B with paint and fresh batteries, and ran it. I have the empire B on setting 2, which should be about 20bps. I was only able to hit 15 with the drill.

Now my drill is a Black and Decker 9.6V Firestorm, which can spin at 800 revolutions per minute. My prop has 3 blades on it, which means that the trigger is being hit-

800rpm * 3 blades = 2400 pulls per minute

2400 / 60 seconds = 40 pulls per second

This makes sense, because my readout is 15bps when the drill is at about 1/3 the speed.

Guys the initial test was not convincing. I ran about 1000 rounds through it. I have tried the stock trigger, and a CP roller trigger. I've tried it with magnets, with just spring, with no magnet or spring, just switch.

Nothing, I cant get this gun above 15bps readout.

Now after thanksgiving, I will do some more intensive testing, I'm going to remove the trigger guard, and a some trigger adjustment too. Right now, my trigger is about 2mm pull, the gun shoots the minute you touch the trigger.

Pics to follow

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING*****************************

Dont flame my thread. This is an attempt to test my marker's max ROF. I know that the alias is capped at 17bps dry fire, and I know that you have a friend who has a friend who hit 21bps on an alias, and I know there are videos all over the internet of people hitting 20bps on the alias, and I know that lasoya has pulled 24bps on his alias........

I dont give a sh*t about any of it. I'm testing my personal marker. So dont embarrass yourself by posting something like this. I'm trying to do an honest experiment to help cut down the rumors. Either help me out or dont post

I think your frenzy version might be relevant here. What version frenzy do you have?

That drill idea is really smart.... It does seem like it is capped if the drill can hit the trigger at 40 time per sec. ARe you going by the bps count on the gun or on a chrono?

Now, lets get something straight. Is your gun fast? Or does it actually seem to be capped at 15bps? My gun is VERY fast, but will never read more than 16bps on the LCD because of the way Frenzy measures your ROF.

yeah the alias is def. capped at 17 or 16 bps
i had two alias and i wasnt able to get more then 15 bps on dry fire(one with critical, the other one with CP trigger)
i dont get why its capped? i mean wtf? whats the sense of it?
and: the alias i got right know also NEVER shows more than 16 bps on forced(didnt test delayed)
i set the reloder b to 2...16 bps...put it on 3...16 bps( but you could actually hear that it was faster on 3 then on 2...) put it on 1...14 bps...
the batteries where a BIT low..but well....

i mean,i dont really need a LCD screen on my gun...but im still pissed about the 16/17 bps cap on dry fire

well..nm..these guns kick some ***,i love them

PS:oh and i shot another alias once..i was able to hit 16 with it on dry fire...but it also NEVER displayed more then 16 bps on forced also( always used a halo)

Try messing with the settings.
Lower the dwell a little and lower the bolt delay some.
You will experience problems if you go to low.

After thanksgiving, I plan on buying 2 cases of TC whitebox and really test this out with a chrono

I'm going to experiment with every different setting imaginable to get this gun to read 20bps on the readout. If my prop spins at 40bps, there is no reason why the gun wont fire 20bps, it's definitely getting a smooth input of trigger pulls

I'm also going to see if the chrono reading is different than the readout on the LCD. And, I'm going to try this drill bit out on a few other guns, like an Angel Speed, Dye DM4, etc

And I'll try different LPR pressures, maybe too much pressure into the valve slows down the spool.

We will get to the bottom of this mystery folks I promise you that

And this prop works, my gun reads 15bps in less than 30 pulls. This prop hits this trigger extremely fast

this is why is i use was
Jack Bauer once went into a bar, and asked for a 'Jack Bauer'. He received three shots of Jack Daniel's, a shot of kerosene and four shots of tequila mixed. When seeing this, another man approached the bar and asked for a Jack Bauer. He got a 9mm round to the face.
