San Diego Round Up
Some people might call this stating the obvious but I thought all the happenings in the pro division of San Diego needed re-stating.
First of all, and most shocking of all, Dynasty took fifth place! They were knocked out of the semi finals by being beat by XSV once again, this time there was no wild card for Dynasty.
Next, many people may be scratching there heads at the sight of team Nexus from the UK, not only going to the finals but beating XSV for 3rd. How can a team that rarely made it to the semis roll the prelims and take a team like XSV in the finals? The Russian Legion (im not sure how many, convieniantly stepped in for this last, crucial, placement deciding leg of the NPPL), but they did replace some portion of the Nexus roster. I wont say this was on purpose but Robbo has had quite alot of nice things to say about RL this season.
Finaly the NXL vs. regular Pro Temas debate took a very unexpected turn for this leg of the NPPL with The Iron Men and The Men playing for first and second, dominating there brackets in the semi-finals.
Also, on a minor note, Infamous was absent from this finals round as well, after being handed a defeat by no other than up and coming pro team Arsenal.
So there you have it, a very strange event id say.
The one question I have is, looking at the scoreboard, I see The Men, Iron Men, and Bob Long's Ironmen. Whos who?
