I'm really interested in buying one... What were you're impressions other than what you mentioned? How does it shoot compared to other high end markers (Intimidators, etc.)?

One of the big thing's about this marker is it can work well with even a gravity fed or bottom end hopper without chopping , due to the offset feed.
HOWEVER you will only get this marker to its full potential and devastating firepower with a top end fast hopper.

well the first impression it left on me is how light the gat is, there is no other like it, then the trigger pull is really really short, it has similar electronics to the E2. the milling and coloring is beautiful and it shoots how it looks, absolutley amazing. its very comfortable to hold and its got break beam eyes, i would've bought it if i had the cash to. it shoots like none other out there

I hope they make some in a polished color. I'm not a fan of the matte finish

A friend shot it today in San Diego, he says it felt like a high end timmy, don't know if that is a good thing. I am sure the quality is much better though.

I think by high-end Timmy, he meant quality. Honestly, what else could it mean?

i put a hopper thru it at san diego and it rips with very little effort. and light yes it is probably more so than the freestyle for those that have held freestyle, if not this is the lightest thing out there. cocker threads big big plus. it comes ready to go, just add air tank and hopper. was easier to rip than any vike timmy angel shocker imp or ecocker i have ever shot and ive shot a few of each. didnt even notice any kick. . basically this is my next marker instead of fly just waiting on how wffecient it is on air. if you got the info let me know. if air sux im going angel if air is good ill have a new ego in my bag. even lasoya had good things to say about it he shot just b4 me and said he was equally impressed with all the hype.

I just got back from San Diego, and I had the opportunity to shoot teh EGO as well. WOW!! this marker will be the next biggest thing this year. It had to have been the easiest marker to shoot fast, even with my slow fingers i could absolutely rail on it. If only they were selling them at the show I would have picked one up no problem.

I was trying to get some info on how it works, but they wouldn't tell me too much, but from what i did get there are air lines running inside the marker and uses a QEV somewhere.
But this marker was just amazing...
Great job Eclipse.

From what I've gathered, it's a Timmy/Impulse combo with an E2-like frame.

I shot it on Saturday

I shot it on saturday and I wasnt that impress with its speed. I'm sure it was set on factory fast, my Nexus DC2 was set faster when I got it. The quality of the marker is excellent. The Ego is lighter then I thought it was going to be. It also has a better eye then what is offer on the E2 frames right now. The gun is much more impressive in person.

btw - the Ego had very little kick if any.

all i can say is that this gun is pretty sweet. we spent about 4-5 hours (or more) playing around with it yesterday in the car as we drove home from san diego: familiarizing, analyzing, discussing, enjoying... it looks like eclipse has a quality product here...
