looks like the guy in the civic had a lot of balls, but if the other guy could drive maybe the story would have been different. good to see people givin a import owner respect for once.

The guy had some balls to challenge a Vette. This race was about driving skill. If the guy in the Vette new how to drive this would have a different ending. But again i give props to the guy in the Civic.

actually the civic was running 12s, and C5s run 12's, and the guy with the c5 said the civic wasn't even pushing the gas in the whole time, but of course u guys have to think of some gay *** exuse to defend domestics, if u read the whole thread viper and vette owners were laughin at the guy,so there u go.

Vettes are nice in all. But even the Z06 doesn't hold a candle to either the Lightning or Thunderbird.

The only Vette that has given me a run for my money (literally), was a 01 Z06 w/ LT Headers & cat-less exhaust, CXI Intake, Cam, and 100 shot of the funny gas. This was right after I had gotten the Lightning tuned with the new motor/power setup. He threw down a c-note, and I the same. Took it down the 1/4 and I only beat him by a fender length. It was so close I gave the guy his money back. But have yet to be beaten by a street legal Vette.

if you look at the pics that the guy posted of the civic you would realize its not just some kid, and its not a sleeper. hes got stickers all over his car from companys that sponsor him and what ever team hes on. so the civic would still have beaten the vett even if he didnt spin his tires for as long as he did.

actually they add 100HP

i think the point he was making is that the driver was sponsered, so he obviously knows how to race, and that hes got alot of money under his hood, i bet his sponser payed for the most expensive parts to make that car fast, did anyone say how much the civic costs and how much the viper costs?

well, you don't get sponsors by being slow, so Im willing to bet the most expensive parts were done out of his own wallet unless he has another car pre sponsorship

and 2. I don't know the prices, but I can tell you which one more likely still has a factory warranty

no offence but your my least favorite person on these forums right about now.. actually ever since the auto's forum was made.

if u would read they were laughing at him because he is a crappy driver.. and a real c5 should beat this guy.. but yes he won but in a way it doesnt matter.
