Alright well I have my regulator off like Im suppose to and I could of sworn that I had to get some waiver that I would wrap around my tank when I pack it and then another one that I have so immediatly when they open my luggage they can see that I have a tank. I went to NPPL's site and went to the TSA portion and read about the equipment, and saw nothing about waivers. Is there no such thing or what?
Spoke with my mother-in-law who is a TSA supervisor here in Atlanta. As long as the reg is off the bottle and they can look into the bottle, it poses no different threat than an empty Coke bottle would. It is simply an empty bottle at that time.
god... why do people bother taking the regs off the bottle. I don't know where people got idea of that rule. You can fly with tanks. I've had my bag searched everytime i've flown with my gear and my regs were on, but they didn't do anything. All I do is have a on/off asa screwed onto my tank with the asa screwed in the "on" position. Technically you should be able to fly with pressurized tanks because the cargo area is pressurized anyway.
I quit paintball to open up a chain of WoofWoofBurger fastfood restaurants.
