Co2 Leaking from barrel

I was playing around with my A-5 Tippmann tactical setup and co2 suddenly started to leak out of the barrel, tiny amounts. I think i might of broke the o-ring so where can i buy the right o-rings? Can having too much velocity cause this?

try putting your barrel in as tight as possible, does your barrel have an o-ring near the threads?

You can buy orings on any paintball sight. Or buy OEM by calling tippmann.

I have not a clue how high my velocity is but this only happens when i cock it...i think or is it when it is uncocked. This just started happening...right after going fully auto with my e-grip. My other question is what the better setup is... e-grip or response trigger?

ur tank might be low, as the valve needs a certain amount of pressure to seal. if the hammer is pressing against the valve and it's leaking down the barrel, there isn't enough gas pressure in your tank.

and the e-grip is definately better.

Run oil through your valve to try and moisten the cupseal.

tippys don't have cupseals. oil it tho. thats the first thing to try to fix it(i've seen this b4). put several drops of oil in the asa and then dry fire it 50 times or so, see if it stops. if not, then you need to use some light degreaser to clean the valve then reoil it.

I have the same problem, yes i've tried oiling, yes i have a barrel w/ an o ring (which doesnt' make a difference one way or another to me) so what could be left an oring on the valve, theres that huge silver chrome peice of metal, does it come apart? or is that... it? Thanks!

An O-ring on the barrel will make zero difference if your valve is leaking... take apart your valve and check your plunger, valve body O-rings and the washer for cracks.

answer: EGRIP , but if you don't have the money, RT works fine. If you do have the cash though, it is worth the extra money that you pay 4 it.

I vote egrip as well... but make sure to check them out in action, as they are two very different firing mechanisms. Some people love the feel of the RT and hate the egrip etc. etc.

That "chrome" piece is actually aluminum and that is the valve assembly. If firing 50 shots with oil in the ASA doesnt help then you need to purchase a new valve assembly (approx $35 from tippmann) Or you can disassemble the valve assy and then clean all the seating surfaces and reassemble it but that is a pain in the butt and may not even work. I'd just order a new valve assy.

The leak is probably not an o-ring, certainly not a barrel o-ring. The valve is what seals the gas from the barrel. It is likely the cup seal is leaking. YES the A5 has a cup seal. Most people just change the entire valve assembly though.
