DSR Reg

My friend has a 2k2 or 2k3 ext (regular double-finger trigger mech composite frame). With what appears to be a DSR reg on it. this gun has given him nothing but problems after his first week with it(mainly after he let some ******* shoot it/keep it for a day.) well, he has an imp now but i want to fix this ***** so we can let other people play. I've already replaced the cupseal and that fixed the decock problem(which was not fixed form a 3week stay at the proshop), but the regulator has a HORRIBLE recharge rate (10 quick shots will drop pressure to 0 and then it wont recock). I was wondering what part of the reg unscrews so i can look at it. Worse comes to worse I'll put my gold one from my evo onto this gun. I just dont have any locktite.

Eh not really what part to open, i know it's the top, problem is just doing that. I'll need some tools. Anyway, before i get in this what would cause such shootdown? (there's no leaking)

Since I couldnt open it I've tried putting oil in the asa gassing and shooting but still teh same problem.

This is mainly so i know what to look for before i go in there.

I say just get a different reg. I have had nothing but problems with my DSR reg on my 2k3 EXT PRO. After three DSR regs and never getting the gun to work right, I just bought a torpedo, and the gun has been great ever since.

I would strongly suggest you contact PMI and get some help from them. Their customer service is top notch.

yeah, I could easily use a different regulator (my working one from my evo), but I figured it'd be easier to clean this one. I'd sue just a 12 gram adapter as a foregrip type thing but i only have 2 grams grams left from my stingray days.

re

on pmi web page is how to take apart the dsr reg.there also a tweek to have them run better.there a small metal shim in them.remove the ship and the reg will be able to adjust a little better. If the reg has cut o-rings in it call up pmi and ask for a rebuild kit for it.
