Question about Barrel Covers!

OK here's the story,
I'm not a regular player, my schedule is just too busy. Three weeks ago I bought a Dye barrel cover at a local shop for my next days outting. I had a plug previously. I went out and while still getting used to the trigger, I shot one ball into the cover and it blew a hole in it.

So, I go back to the place I bought it to exchange it. They say you used it so they can't help me. Now where this any other peice of fabric I could understand, but it's supposed to be a safter device. What kind of safety device fails with one use.

Now please tell me, am I being unreasonable?

Thanks,
-Andy

If they don't warranty it, post a picture of it. That's will convince them really quick. That's the kind of quality that brings about a recall.

Did the paintball go through it?

I have shot many balls into my NXE cover...it also has the double cloth on the inside. Its a pain to clean out. Sound like a cheap POG...

It was, if you look at the first pic you can see two black stiches over the tips of the where the grey from teh side and where the dye naem come together. The barrel will not go any further than that.

p.s. if you need illustration let me know.

wow. i thought that was just the design of the outside. I had no idea it was to stop that short. At the end (where you say the barrel doesnt reach) it looks like that black part with the dye symbol was made to take the hits.

Agreed. I thought it would go all the way to the end, but it didn't and I didn't force it.

plushdragon helped look for balloons
re

I would make a 30c copy of those photos from walmart and send a reg letter to dye.In it i would send a photo copy of the recipt showing the ball sock is new.I would ask for a replacment or your money back.In the letter post that the sock failed as a safty device because of pour design. Here how that made it poorly.there only a one inch strip of heavy fabric at the end of the sock to stop a paintball.the rest of the sock is using the same matrial as a sock you would wear.you can try this with a used sock over the barrel it will go through just like yours did.if you look at pmi one or smart parts one with the girls you see the whole scock is made from rip stop nylon the same stuff back pack straps are made from.IF they dont respond is a week or two email this to your local tv station person that does safty and consumer afaire with heading paintball safty defect. There been a few pb recalls this year that made tv due to bad product or use.
