Help Please!! already problems....

So I get my Excal, but now w/ a brand new battery & 2000 psi, the gun won't re-cock. I can push the bolt forward to shoot once, but thats it. Also it sucked the air up really fast, 1/2 the air was gone pretty soon and I detected no leaks-

Help Please!!

Dry firing uses air up pretty quickly, so that's probably not a problem.

What do you mean you can push the bolt forward and fire once? It should be in the forward position whenever it's aired up. You may want to make sure the pin is alligned with the ram. Check and make sure the bolt is oiled and there's nothing in the breech interfering with it's movement.

The hammer will cycle, but the bolt doesn't move, justs stays back-I can push the bolt forward, & pull the trigger and a ball will shoot-Also, should the bolt pin be pushed all the way into the bolt? When I do this the bolt cannot come back far enough to clear the breach-

It sounds like the bolt pin isn't in correctly. It should push in so there isn't any of the pin shaft showing. When the gun is aired up push the bolt all the way in so the pin is touching the front of the slot and then push the pin in so there isn't any part of the shaft showing.

also does the bolt slide easily for you? And just looked at my excal and only like 1/16" to 1/8" of the pin shaft is visible when it's in all the way.

It was the bolt pin not being aligned right-I am relieved the problem was from my retardation and not the gun

Thanx!

Reminds me of the stock cocker bolt. If you put it in upside down it wont allow any air into the bolt to fire the ball but will still cock. Its pretty funny to fix that for someone, cuase you can allways call them a bonehead afterwards..

Trip your a bonehead.. and congrats on the new excal.

The effience is much beter when shooting paint. Also, you dont know what velocity the person who sold it to you had it set at. Efeciancy will vary alot from 285fps to 300fps to 320fps.. Get some paint in it and a good fill and chrono at 285fps and you will be shocked how much air is left after shooting 1000 balls. Barrel can also affect effiency. I get about 20% more shots from the stock javlin then a dye boomstick. I plan on getting 2 lapco's cuase they are only ported in the last 2inches.

I shot some paint through it this morning, it was shooting darts! I am so happy with this gun! I can't wait to show my team on the field, they don't know I have it yet!
