well, seeing as there aren't any other bolts out there for the O3, i don't think you have a choice.

don't worry, after about a case through my O3, there aren't any visible scratches inside the gun or on the bolt. electropneumatics tend to be a bit less abrasive than blowbacks.

If it were a problem I think alot of O3 owners would of wrote about it by now. I think if you oil it right and maybe polish it a bit you should have no worries.

I just use dow 33 /shocker lube on mine I have about 8 cases of paint through it and about 20 cases extra if you count dry firing and there are no signs of wear on the bolt or gun. there is some type of coating on the bolt so it is not a metal to metal contact.

I believe they are teflon coated. You know, the stuff that is on your non-stick frying pans. It will scratch off eventually (just like the non stick coating becomes not-so-non stick after a long time).

I thought they used the same bolt as Spyders/Dragun/Timmy's?
**gasp**
They actually changed the dimensions of the bolt?!

NO! YOU CANT! The O3 bolt is completely different from the TI/timmy bolts. Otherwise there wouldnt be such a long line of us waiting for the delrin bolt to come out.

Do not "polish the bolt" If you use abrasive polish on the bolt it will take off the coating causing the bolt to tear up your gun

the delrin bolt is a problem because it can't handle the stresses of moving that fast with the same style of ball pushing down to locate the bolt.... i have an idea... i just have to get my o3(pushed back till next friday) and get a lathe and a milling machine.... (looked at one yesterday) we'll see.

I'm in bensalem.... what type of delrin did he get you.... my favorite to work with is delrin-AF (nylon impregnated delrin) very easy to machine and has the great lubricity and wear resistance of nylon...
