trigger adjustments

heh guys.... my black borg arrived today... very very nice.... ran so smoothly and was slinging paint.... but i have a couple of issues id like your help on....

first... i know that the trigger has 3 adjustment points. both the actuation and back travel adjustments i was able to get where i want them, but the third adjustment (tension) no matter how i tried it (all the way in or all the way out) i noticed no difference in the trigger tension... is there even a spring in there? i like my triggers long and sloppy, but if i set it that way.... the trigger has all this loose play in the front of the pull??? is there something im missing here?

secondly.... i really wasnt getting very good efficiency. i know that is one of the borg trademarks (efficiency), but i really wasnt seeing it today..... i went through 400 psi on one hopper full...... it was quiet and shooting nice but that was more than i expected..... As of right now im marking it down to the newness of the gun and the regs.... although they were extremely consistent...

the way i set the marker up was just like it says in the manual.....i set my conquest to 400, glad to 200, and then i brought up the lpr to get to 280fps..... (i dont have the ram gauge yet so im not really sure what the bolt pressure was)

and before you tell me to lube it up good.... the first thing i did when it arrived is take it apart and grease it up good..... the glad and all........ so i know that wasnt an issue......

otherwise i was extremely impressed with my borg... going from the sear-tripper to a borg is a big step..... and i was extremely surprised at the quietness of the borg.....im using a matchstick barrel system on it....and it was significantly quieter than my teammates timmy......

anyway thanks for any of your guys help, or suggestions.

1. There is no spring in there, it does nothing.

2. You need to break both regs in before good efficency starts.

omenworker: give it some time and let it break in and then see how she's doin. i'm still breaking mine in. i'm gonna try setting my inline to aprox ~290 and the lpr to ~50 cos i want to get rid of any trace of bounce (going for less than a trix) i'll see how that goes. *shrug* and yeah, the spring is no more. but you can always add one if you wish, perhaps a clicky pen spring?

CervezadelosTicos138: hp tank's fine. no need to spend more cash

Can anyone say where should I stand a spring and what kind of spring(length, diametr) is better to use? And WHY MacDev removed springs from new borgs?

yeah i dont really want a spring in there...because i like a light trigger....... but if i set the trigger long....and put the actuation point at the very back of the pull.....the front half of the trigger is just too sloppy...it doesnt spring forward....it just hangs there loosely?? i dont know.....its still new and i have plenty to learn....maybe ill get it like i like it

maybe if i put a really light spring in there it would help....i dont want to but i would rather have to pull it harder than to have the slop...... or maybe ill finally start to make the carbon fiber triggers ive been wanting to try for some time.......

Cervesa the Gladiator reg should be able to handle your preset just fine. I have an 04 gladiator on my cocker and use 850 presets and it works awesome. My cocker operates between 270 and 290 PSI.
