For which delays and broken promises you can thank Smart parts for in some ways, SP who at the time were suing everyone in the world for patent infringements- companies began to grab at anything they could to protect their IP and unfortunately Powerlyte sold a very promising design and was left producing the Hybrid.

Also they were one of the first to produce and aftermarket ION body, they have one of the best barrel systems on the market, and have produced more parts and aftermarket parts for other companies than most of you know.

NOT the Mini

And we know it is NOT the Invert Mini. Manike has stated this specifically several times. Just wanted to toss that in now that the thread was revived.

hahaha, I see that the thred is still new, almost 3 years after it was started. Man, when all the people in the invert forum start bi***ing again, im going to link them here. Man, you guys either got really shafted, or the marker actually came out and you have no clue what it actually is. I would be so pissed if I followed this thred for this long. I have never heard of the marker befor so I decided to read all the pages and hell, I got pissed when I got to the end and there is no resolution. Im getting a powerlyte sceptor, thats why I was in this forum, but now Im starting to wonder if I should get it or not. I mean its out and all, but I dont like doing business with people like that.

Im assuming you refering to my previous post where I was doubting getting that barrel. Well I agree with you, it is 1 of the best barrels that I have ever seen/used

I get better acuracy than a stiffy and it self cleans just as well or better than one. The only thing a stiffy has on it is weight and who cares about that little difference?
I got all 7 bores and a 16 and 12" tips. Whhoooooo, I was just thinking about how awsome it is!

In my area? Have a nissan? Want to be faster, kill speed limiter, better fuel mileage Higher/lower rev limiter? Change injectors or maf? Run off e85? Hit me up.

who ended up buying the patent on their design?? I used to follow this a long time ago, but when the delays kept coming, I walked away.

Were there ever any working prototypes or something of the sort made?

...well that was informative... I was kind of wondering more if any were ever circulated to maby teams or techs, something that may someday end up on the nation f/s/t threads.

It doesn't take a genius to look at the two and figure that out. Whoever thought up that one is a moron. The Mini is an EP version of an Automag. The Isis if I remember correctly was a type of spool valve. The only gun I've seen that resembles the Isis that was released after the patent was sold is the Quest. Considering the resmblance and timing, the Quest could easily be a tweaked version of the Isis. Sure, the FEP guys deny it, but paintball isn't known for honesty.

Pot, meet kettle. The Mini is NOT an EP Mag, it is the evolution of the King Cobra, or XXX, whatever you want to call it. Several important differences.

Not fixed volume (Mags are)
propulsion air is not what moves the bolt in a Mini (that's how a Mag bolt moves)
Bolt is hollow in a mini (Mag bolts have a piston like center)
Reg directly feeding dump chamber - wait, Mini doesn't have a dump chamber

I have personally seen pictures of the quests development, as it started from a huge block, with multiple different sized bolt. The development was nothing close to the isis. And I do not work for FEP, just a long time supporter. I saw/have pictures I am not supposed to- trust me. The initial stages of the quest that I have could not even be held as it is mainly a huge main chamber with tubes everywhere and a seperated lpr. Then they fine tuned their design into the quest as it is today...guess they should have changed the milling to avoid controversey-but they didnt.

This thread is so old.
I come back on PBN after like TWO years, literally, and people are still posting in this thread.

how about this one.

http://www.pikkadoll.com/images.htm Pikkadoll is simular, not as close as the Quest in looks to the Isis, but maybe in operation. I know little about the Isis besides pictures I saw on the net.
Just baught it up for conversation.
