yea its not just like a tune up...its a magnetic mod....about the modifying the 45 frame...they have to mill out areas in the frame so the board will fit....they dont give you a space frame....if you buy one for 32.99 from skanline i think you may save 70 dollars by them not having to mill it....NOT positive about that tho

Predator II Self Installation?!?!?!?

Has anyone done a self installation on the predator II board and eyes? I'm looking to get that board but i dont' want to pay 350$ just to get it installed. I looked at the sight for all the parts and stuff to do the self install itself only costs like 170-180 w/ shipping and stuff. Is the install easy to do. On the Information for them doing the install they say they do an air passage conversion? WTF is that? Is is just worth going to them and haveing them doing it over me doing it and possibly messing up something? Or is it that easy. Peace.

if you know what your doing its easy,
I've done 4 so far, and will offer ace installs soon for others.

which model of the angel do you have?

for ir3-a4 the air passage conversions is plugging the diverter plate holes for the cops sensor and drilling a straight air path through the body.

I have an angel speed. Would you be able to do installs for cheaper then what others do? Because if you ask me some of the labor costs are outrageous. more then cost of the parts.

well as it stands right now, your looking at installs between 200 and 280 from me. all of this depends on the board used, ( pred morlock, pred morlock with afa code, pred 2) eye covers ( goo or eblade covers) and id air passage milling is needed.

hit me up on aim, ill send u pics of the speed im doing right now for mr. boathouse

Labor is traditionally expensive for everything from paintball markers to cars. That's how most technicians and service centers recoup their costs. Remember, that labor cost assists in:

- paying the hour wage/salary for the technician
- Bills to run the shop/machine
- Costs of the machine

So while $25/hour might seem like a lot to the consumer, it's not much in the grand scheme of things for the guy charging the fee.

Smasher41 is currently doing my Speed. From the pics he's shown me so far it looks amazing and I can't wait to get it back. Now I just have to come up with the rest of the money to pay him.

depending on board and what you get, anywhere from $200- $280 from me, however, due to some new supplies not arriving yet, i will not be doing LCD angels at this time.

why run the wires through the frame, your just increasing the chance of pinching a wire. i would mill a slot on the under side of the body and a hole to the dead battery chamber.

Thanks for the info I had some of the same questions- although after reading the dialogue here I need to know what was meant by "for ir3-a4 the air passage conversions is plugging the diverter plate holes for the cops sensor and drilling a straight air path through the body."

Can we not leave it alone and just drill/mill for the eyes and mill the slot for the eye wires? Thanks guys in advance...

the holes for the cops rod are threaded, and plugged, and the holes that the air was diverted to are threaded and plugged.

the body is then drilled for a straight air path, similar to the original led and lcd, or the new fly.

if you use the goo, then yes you can, but you would have to mill the the grip frame to run the wires from there, instead of the body.
I dont believe the e blade eye covers are long enough to go all the way down to the frame, as its close to not enough as it is.
this is why without the air apssage drilling an plugging, i will not offer eblade eye covers on the ire3, speed, or a4. the lcds you can mill a channel in the body for the eyes.

Now when you install the predator board, or any other board like it, are you switching to a 9v battery?
