The freestyle is an ICD gun with crap wiring that breakas easy. I love ICD but hate their crap wiring. Unless you have a recent freestyle its not going ot get good efficiency at all. The freestyle gets bonus points for how small it is and how fast it shoots. I personally don't like the feel of the gun just too small. To get it to its maxium potential you'd need a chaos board. I'd say the same for a dye trix you need a Tadao board. I loved my bushy but hated the low quality wiring, I've pulled plenty hard on the dye wires on accident when I was a newbie and they nver popped out. ICD wiring pops out if you breath on it wrong. I don't own a freestyle but I've owned ICD stuff for a very long time and have a bunch of exp with it. THe stock boards that the Freestyle vs. dye trix are not the same. I find ICD stock boards slow and yes I did have a freestyle board. THe dye lcd board is quicker. There are a ton of new tools coming out for the freestyle that are going to make its reulators easier to work wtih so I can't comment on that yet. The trix also has tons of upgradest to make it awesome. I personally get over 2k shots per 68/4500 tank and that is why ihave a trix. Fast and tons of shots ball on ball. My fingers don't fit in the freestyle either lol. They are both good guns but I'd get a dm4 over the freestyle if i was getting a gun for size.

ok the karnis bolt pressure is probably 40-60 psi. 100 psi will blow the smc noid. The closed bolt is not capped at 36 cps. The nexus has been cycled to 45 cps. Also you do not need a new ram and qevs. And the nexus kit is absolutley not necessary.

the dm3 has a gun 20 stock
which at one time was considered a very nice upgrade
i hate the stock boards from icd and the wiring also, and ive had to re-wire my bushy a few times...
the only problem with todao is that it disables the lcd, idk bout the 5.0, but the rest disable it...i like it when it says "pow"....i can get my trix to 21 no prob with the gun 20, no skips or ne thing...
the bolt pressure in a karni might be low, but i have yet to hear of one bouncing off a ball...who really cares how fast it can cycle...nobody will be able to shoot that fast ever, and no loader as of right now can feed that fast...i personally dont like what wgp has been doin with their lower end guns, seems as tho they are going lower and lower in quality...ugly lookin too (karni's look cool, i was talkin bout tha lower end ones)

If you dont mind the weigh of the trix go with the trix because Impulses always have problems and a Trix is better in almost any aspect. Its better balanced (weight wise), its a crapload faster (anderson board and tadao), it's more efficient (2000+ shots off a 68 45 with evolve). The only thing the rat has over the trix is that it looks cooler with an OTB frame IMO.

Im telling you, you WILL regret it if you get an impulse over a trix. Ask anybody who has used both (but not in here or the impy forum). They WILL say that imps are horrible compared to trixes.

aight, one of my friends has an impy, fully upped except for board and frame
his setup: green vision impulse, ndz magno blade trig, all ndz internals (all balanced etc correctly), ndz lpr combo, twister feed, vert flo, and pipe and a st 2k4 supafly and eggy with a freakin mad z board (like 30bps)
my setup: stock dm3, ccm low rise, snatch grip (it was free) and a palmer fatty stab. and reloader b
aight, he has a pretty nice trig set, and i can get it up to comparison:
speed (for me...)
pulse, 18 trix, 21
efficiency
SAME, trix Stock, and his pulse With 300 + in upps
weight
my trix is lighter than his pulse (with full hopper, barrel, and the same tank, also full)
i dive on top of my trix all the time, and it hasnt gotten more than a few minor scratches, he slid into a bunker, and his lpr almost broke off
you can easily get a used dye trix for 600 or maybe 500...
round the same as a new vision pulse stock
once you add upps to make the impulse come close to a trix, it will have cost MORE than a brand new dye trix
also, dye trix's and lcd's have an lcd screen, which is extremely user friendly, and makes setting it up (if new) insanely easy...also they come stock with an lpr, and the dye's come stock with eyes also..a better eye system and a force shot option too..the combination of eyes and a properly set lpr make it literally impossible to chop
its really all up to you, but i have another friend, and we let him play with our guns a bunch, so he could decide...then other people let him shoot their stuff, and over all he decided to get a trix...plud, trixes are commin Way down in price after cup...

Don't ever post in this thread again. The LCD has no use for Gun20. The Gun20 chip was meant to upgrade the Gun12 because it had better switch logic. What does Gun20 have anything to do with the DYE Matrix?

I've had an LCD and the software is nothing alike. The Gun20 came out after the LCDs because the Gun12 had slower switch logic. Thats why they made the Gun20 Einstein.

Okay, call up Gen-E and tell them that the LCD board uses the Gun20. Then see what they say. How can the LCD integrate the Gun20? The LCD board doesn't use chips. So tell me how it is integrated into it? It uses the Gun20 software, YES, but it has nothing to do with Gun20. Thats where you are getting mixed up.

matrixman55 - I wouldnt argue with Zero even if he's wrong he somehow always wins arguements. But I think he could be right on this one.
