Why take something that makes the governtment money (i.e. fines and bail from arrests) and turn it into something that cost the government money and at the same time would never really be implimented well because of a huge beauracracy that would have to be formed?
This is why democrats screw stuff up. Sure, it sounds like a good idea with good intentions but would never really work and just create more problems.
How would legalizing something create a huge beaurocracy? You wouldn't need a beauracracy to legalize something. As a matter of fact you could cut costs by getting rid of some police. Taxing it would create more money than fines would.
If fines and bails are so good for the government, why not make tobacco, and alchohol illegal? ****, thats money out the *** in fines.
What a dumb arguement. Legalizing and taxing something would cost MORE money. Not to mention the fact jails would be less crowded.
This is why republicans screw stuff up. Because they're stupid.
Note: I'm just being facetious.
