It's a conspiracy man! Maybe we would like to hold some semblance of morality.. I mean, it's almost been completely destroyed thanks to the ACLU and other activist organizations.. I ask you, how do the benefits FAR outweigh the "negatives." If all you have is medicinal purposes, you're wasting your time..
Ok...so why is prostitution or smoking marijuana immoral?

George Carlin once said.

"Sex is legal, and selling is legal, why can't selling sex be legal?"

But yah, in all seriousness we should not legalize MJ or prost.

So eating hamburgers is immoral? Better make them illegal as well. I guess we should make cigarettes illegal, alcohol illegal, any unhealthy food, and any activities that we find fun that could cause us harm. Intentionally hurting your body may be stupid, but it certainly isn't immoral.

Once again...how is paying for sex illegal? Simply because a culture believes it to be so doesn't mean it is. Slavery was moral just a couple hundred years ago, now it isn't. People used to believe couples sleeping in the same bed was immoral, although now that idea is laughable.

Murder is immoral because you are ending the life of a rational suffering being for no justifiable reason. "It Just Is" is a pretty poor method of argument, I explained why murder is immoral, now you please explain why prostitution is.

What is with these people making claims without motivation...Why should we not legalize them? Simply because "Mcot2" says we should isn't a very good reason.

Sex and drugs are immoral because they make you feel good, and social conservatives won't rest until the only thing that makes people feel good about theirselves is Jesus.

I don't think marijuana should be legal either. It's a much better idea to waste millions of tax dollars on a pointless cause. Afterall, if one of those million dollar anti-pot commercials prevent one kid from smoking a joint, it was worth it. As for the people that do buy, grow, or sell marijuana, we've got a nice crowded prison to throw them in.

I don't smoke but I think weed should be legalized so we can get the criminal element out of it, it's the only way.

We have laws to keep society running smoothly, to protect property rights and to allow people to live their day to day lives without getting gunned down in the street. Makes sense to me. Pot and prostitution are not a significant hinderance to society, if at all and are therefore not worth wasting resources enforcing laws against them. Your broad generalizations didn't really gain you any ground in the debate bud.

In your post you stated you were against pot and how wasting money and pointlessly throwing people in prison was A-OK. Why? You didn't motivate your claim.
Satire, look it up.

Well, yes,
everyone knows about Nevada. Though take a nice hard look at the USA. I have never been to a country other than the USA that has so many hang ups about sex and the human body. It's downright pathetic.

Though most of these issues are brought up by the bible thumpers and drilled into everyones head that sex and the body are 'bad' and immoral and all that nonsense. I personaly don't understand it

I think higher ups in government are slowly becoming kinkier. If not vocal about it, at least behind closed doors. How many scandals in the past decade have suddenly been uncovered by a bunch of old white crusty guys. Maybe it's a good thing.
