Bush isn't the one focusing his whole campaign around the fact that he was in Vietnam...

Bush served in the National Guard....isn't that serving his country— as it was very possible that he could have been shipped out to war?

Haha. He served with 7 Dallas Cowboys in his squad and there was a humongous waiting list to get into it. Interesting.

Bush should have used 'Nam as a photo op just like Kerry? Having only served four months, of which there are questionable errors in his service jacket? now thats one hell of a record to be proud of! Quite frankly I'm getting tired of the word "hero" being used in conjunction with stories about Kerry...that term is used far too loosely these days.

Bush got into a special unit to get out of service then went AWOL. That's quality service to your country right there.

Bush served in the National Guard about as much as Kerry can relate with the working man.

Hint: Bush didn't, Kerry can't.

Why kerry can be scrutinized...he is basing his whole campaign on heis 4 1/2 months, not his 20 years of being a senator. Bush served, he released his records of service, kerry did not. Bush in not politicizing his service in the ANG, while kerry is HEAVILY politicizing his time in vietnam.... so yeah his service is an issue, becuase Kerry himself made it an issue, and the only defense to that is to attack attack attack bush instead of letting people know what kerry is REALLY all about

Why is that such a bad thing?

I tell you what when people start crediting a god to their performance that is when it gets scary. When people start killing other people because they feel it is in gods will or kill people because "god told them to do it" I start to wonder. Granted they are not the model theist but I see no wrong in that statement.

There is certainly a difference between when a muslim credits Allah to his jihad and when our president admits he confides in god. I take comfort in the fact that he actually believes in god, because that indicates that he has a strong set of morals and beliefs based upon the conservative foundation of christianity, which is very different from the people who go around commiting crimes and crediting it to god or allah. You can't get the average person who has faith in god mixed with the religeous extremist because they both believe in god.

whoa whoa whoa, are you kidding? What morals? Bush doesn't follow any morals. I guess becomming an alchoholic/coke head was the MORAL thing to do. There is nothing christian about the guy, he's insane. He just goes around yelling "God bless America" at the top of his lungs so idiots like you can watch while thinking "Wow, what a good christian, i don't care how many people he kills, or how much coke he's snorted, i'm proud he is my president."
He follows the morals that his rich buddies set for him, they are god.
Maybe i'm wrong, maybe it is not the church that sets morals in America now, maybe it is Bush who sets the standard of good christian morals, in that case, enjoy the ride, because I sure as hell am not.

How do you see a difference? Because muslims are the "bad" guys to you? And bush is "good"?
How can you let that slide? "God told my to strike down saddam, so I did."
How can anyone hear that and not think the guy is completely insane?
