This is stupid. Capitalism is obviously the best way to go for a large nation. It's self healing, requires little government help (monopolies), and since its based on consumer's wants and needs it will always satisfy.

Capitalism and Communism are not political systems, they are economic systems...

Representative Democracy is the best political system we have at the moment. Im sure down the road we will improve upon it or discover better.

Dictatorship with an intelligent leader in charge. Democracy doesn't work because voters are stupid and say "I'm gonna re elect president Bush because my tax freedom day came early this year so his financial policy is great" when they don't even know what a national debt is and how badly it will bankrupt their country. Stupid politicians have been manipulating stupid voters to stay in power for far too long, and nobody can make the difficult decisions like needing to tighten government spending to cut back on the deficit because they would not get re elected.

the problem with 'good' leaders is they never last. a good dictator or a good monarch would be fine, until they died, leaving a monarchy or dictatorship to be siezed by an *******. this has happened many times in history and is why there are not very many monarchies or dictatorships anymore. representative democracy has the same flaw, except that we get many different leaders, all of which are *******s.

No, we have democracies all over the world because the majority of people want a say in their government. The reason democracy sucks is because the majority of people are too stupid and uninformed to make intelligent decisions given this power.

It's kind of likea family of 4 going to buy a car, the husband has gone out and researched all the available options and made a decision based on his research. His wife and two kids decide that since it's a family car their opinion should count for something and even though they don't know what they're talking about they make the husband get a different car because it's a shiny blue color. Despite the fact that it's the car the husband had to go with, it wasn't the best choice and broke down after 40,000 miles. That's how democracy works (or rather doesn't work)

This is a pretty good government at the time, however the transition of power is it's weakness. A dictatorship will not always have a strong leader and usually when the dictator dies things get a little ugly.

It seems to me that the majority of serious posters liked libertarianism... I honestly think that if everyone who believes in libertarian ideals voted that way in November niether Bush nor Kerry would be in the whitehouse...

i agree, I think a man with 1/3 of a mustache really would lead us to victory in getting rid of the Bean and Cheese problem, and the bagel problem.... First our leader would put them on the trains to go to the fiesta (THE GAS CHAMBER) and then get rid of all of them and just have no more stanky mexicans
