The C5 jerseys are essentially the same, aren't they?

Being a "portly fugger" myself, I can attest to balls bouncing on extra padding

being a fat bastaad, a gut/love-handle/*** hit hurts 700% more than an extremity or head hit. And i don't really notice any balls bouncing off my C5 jersey.

They are legal, but you can't wear anything under them.

I ended up getting a C5 jersey and it sure seems the same padding as the C4 jersey. Gotta love it.

i know this is sort of bringing a thread back from the dead but i have a c4 jersey and dont see where there is too much padding. there is 3mm of padding on the shoulder and 4 mm of padding on the underside of the forearm and thats it. hows that too much? and shouldnt they be more worried about people wearing excessively baggy pants? that helps more than jersey padding.

Yes, us fat boys benifit from having the occasional bounce. We are also bigger targets, so it all evens out.

if they make dye jerseys illigal, than they should make angel airtime pants illegal, those things have so much padding around the crouch (understandably), but even more in the knees, and the paddng is thick. i hav never worn them but i can only imaging that you would take so many bounces with those beauties on.

Long-sleeve shirts represent? But I think they should be looking more at baggy before as little padding as the C4/5 I bet more bounces have come off baggy before padding.
