A question regarding "dead mans walk."

Hello everyone.

If I am trying to do a dead mans walk, and an opposing player asks me if i'm out, and I yell "dont shoot!" and then I walk a little further and open fire, did I cheat or did I follow the rules? Is yelling "Dont shoot" the same as yelling "I'm out?" I don't think so, but some other people at my local field felt differently. So which one is it? Thanks in advanced!

LOL, it's ok to say whatever you want as long as you dont say anything that means you're a dead player. You can't raise your hand above your shoulders, or else you're signalling that you're out. Other than that, I guess you were barely on the line of "not cheating". That's my personal opinion.

haha i would feel bad about doing taht but you didnt break any rules by saying dont shoot when i play i say all kind of things like im over here but dont shoot me and all this other stupid crap haha but find a course where the people arent like that

Actually, in the NPPL rules it states, if you do anything that makes the other team reasonably believe you are out....your are out. Getting up and walking towards the dead box will et you pulled.

yeah there becomes a point where you as a player must decide whether or not a decision is good or bad. And remmeber just because the rules haven't been made doesn't mean they shouldn't exist.

Play the game the way you want it to be played by others. The outcome of paintball as a sport depends on every player taking part in controlling how it is percieved by the outside world.

Paintball is and can stay a great sport, but we all have to take part in helping it be a safe, fun and honest one.

I did that at once. It worked, but all the games after that were screwed because everyone kept on getting shot after they were already out. it was pissing everyone off. that's the last time i do that just because it messed the fun level of the games.
