About to buy a 98 chevy s10...

For about 4800. Do you guys have any opinons on these cars, I went to see it and it drove very well and was really clean, but Im looking for other opinions.

It comes with alloy wheels, a/t, shortbed, one of those non stealable cd players, a/c, and an alarm system. It does need a new battery and one of the tires has a nail in it, and I got them to get it down for that flaw.

LMK what you guys think.

From what I've heard from several people you can't get the v6 with a 5sp, which pisses me off to, cause I want one, atleast like the newer gen, possibly there might be a 80's version with your specs, and I've seen some 80's one's that have like 305's in them aswell which would get you fly'in off road.

Now back on topic

I personally like S-10's alot, there great small trucks, pretty cheap, good amount of power if you have the 4.3 vortec in it and what not. I may get one in the spring, but my dream car is alot like a S-10 and I probaly will get one right before that, keep my POS I have now, and build that up

the 4.3 is the 262ci engine...its pretty stout for a small truck like that.

a 305 is a v8 and it is possible to get a v6 w/ 5 speed, if you like little trucks get the s-10 :-)

Based upon the pictures, I'd say your decision to not hit that was a very good one. "

i have a first gen S-10 with the 4.3L V6 and like it alot. its automatic, but still fun to drive, and pretty damn quick. gotta sell it though, college is killing my wallet. if you do get an S-10, stay away from anything that doesn't have the 4.3L. the smaller engines are pretty worthless.

how many miles does the '98 you're looken at have on it?

any1 want a trick '91 S-10? located in WA

Don't buy a S-10 unless it has the 4.3 in it.

Yah, it's not factory, it takes some fabrication, new motor mounts, springs, trans, yahda yahda yahda, but I've seen quite a few of them.

the trans from a 4.3 will work for a 305...there are both 90 degree motors and have the same bolt pattern

motor mounts are easy...jegs sells them....its finding the correct exhaust manifolds, unless you use the swap headers
