custom trigger guard on reg 98?

i heard that if you make the right cuts on the reg 98 you can use the guard on the 98 reg, is that true? i would use the custom trig without a spring cause i dont use one on my reg 1x trigger to lighten the pull.

i drew a VERY sketchy drawling below to what i think u have 2 do

make a notch on the grip for bottom of frame to fit and file a notch so the top of frame slides in so the bolt can go through the hole in the top trig frame

is this correct?

I dont see how that trigger guard would really stay on tightly and not fall off either when running or just standing their in a paint war.... Also the Custom 98 trigger is different then the Classic M98, and from what Tippmann says is its a different trigger.... Lapco sells a nice trigger guard for about the same price as the 98C one you would get and it would work for sure.....

yah cept as of my knowlage the lapco is 20 bucks without the trigger and the custom is $16 guard and trigg, the regular ones are $21

i would either make it a TIGHT fit and/or epoxy them

oh yah also the bolt running through it would make it not come out. Can someone who has both PLEEEESE try it, it would take under 5 min.
