Review My To Be Audio Setup

Deck: Pioneer DEH-3600

Door Speakers: 4 x Alpine SPR-174A Type R 6.5"

Speaker Amp: Alpine MRP-F240 4ch

Sub: 2 x Alpine SWR-1221D

Sub Amp: Alpine MRD-M500

Would you replace anything in this setup with a different part? I'm not an alpine fan-boy I've just heard good things about them so I am willing to venture to other brands. I also am looking for a good sub enclosure for the 2 12" subs so If anyone has a link to a good site for sub enclosures please share.

Thanks

Tisk tisk.

1. I hate Rockford Fosgate because of reliability and sound quality issues that I dealt with selling their products.

2. Don't make a post without backing up your opinion. It does him no good when you just say "Rockford Fosgate." Tell him why you're making said suggestion.

They are no where near worth what you pay for them. The point is that there is far better equipment out there.

Get a deck with three preouts like the pioneer deh 6600, so you dont lose fade and balance controlls. "y" splitters are blah.

Are there any other head units out there that are pretty good that aren't so expensive that have atleast 2 sets of preouts, 3 sets would be even cooler. Also if it had a Aux input on it that would be even sweeter, cause I like to hook up my Nomad Juexbox up to my Aiwa HU right now cause I normally have like 100+ cd's on that thing. I'm looking to spend like $150-175 after I get my 12" MOMO ordered tonight, I'll probaly have to use a splitter for a week or two, I got one laying around cause I have my 6x9's amped aswell.

i have the MRD-M500 and like it alot. also have alpine subs and polk momo series 4x6s in my jeep. everything sounds good...and its loud. i know you wouldnt be disapointed with alpines amps and subs. as far as speakers go i dont know. just a thought, try searching on ebay for what you are looking for you might find some good deals like i did.

I'm throwing my suggestion of Polk MOMO speakers out there, they are really nice sounding speakers, kinda pricey, but if you find yourself a good deal on ebay, you can pick up a pair of the 6x9's for alittle over a $100 with shipping and there loud even with only like 90 watts running to them, really clear to, I got a pair of the Polk db 4x6's in my front doors running of my HU which sound nice aswell, though the one on the right has been giving me some problems hissing lately on high volumes, I think its cause of the bass turned up to like +4 or so on the HU. Gonna order my MOMO 12" sub here in alittle bit, they have them dirt cheap on Circuit City's website only $80, if you buy 2 you get a free box. Thought about buying 2 but don't feel like getting another amp right now, but I might considering I'm making alot of money a week right now, $250 or, last week made $320 after taxes.

Alpine stuff is great. I've owned a lot of it and loved it. Expensive though. I won't make any suggestions about brands because everyone is too biased in their opinions. I might throw in a power cap though. I like the phoenix gold caps. Make sure you know what all the terms used in the audio world mean. I started reading everything I could on car audio and suddenly all that crap the dealers told me started to make sense and I could actually make an informed decision. If you know this stuff already then go nuts! Just research before you buy, just because somebody says it's good doesn't mean there isn't something better.

I'd go for an Alipine deck, they can be had for cheap and still be some of the best out there. Also, for subs and amps, I'd go Audiobahn. A friend of mine has a full Audiobahn setup and it is amazing.
