DM4 silent???

I was wondering if DM4's are silent. Ive seen some videos of them online and they dont seem that silent. Ive heard you need to adjust the LPR to get it silent.

well the videos all seem loud because the camera is usually right next to the gun.

the lower the dwell, the higher you set your lpr, the more kick there will be, the more effiecient it will be, the louder it will be. stock dm4's are super quiet because i think the dwell is set at 16. correct me if im wrong. the higher the dwell, the lower you set your lpr, the less kick there will be, the less effiecient it will be,the quieter it will be.

Yea my friend was like dont get a dm4 its so loud, i told him its probably the camera.

so when it is quiet is not as efficient?

How should i set up my DM4 out of the box. I dont have it right now but it is being delivered as we speak.

stock dwell is 18, Just leave it there and adjust your lpr out like 4 turns and increase your inline pressure, with slick honey you can go as low as 3 turns out or 55 psi. You should have less kick and noise with that , and better efficiency.

Hehe well you know, it sometimes does matter if your gun is quiet or not. I can hear my mate's stock Fly a mile away, and right away i know where to lay some paint, works all the time (Infinity barrels have horrible porting)

Yep, they are as quiet as they get. For some people, that kind of stuff matters. As for being "silent" i don't know about that...but it's pretty close.

Out the box, you should be a-ok...and if you wanna fiddle around with it, clean it up and lube it with slick honey...should allow you to turn down your lpr a tad...

A lot of people have actually been able to run at 2 turns, myself included...

The kick and noise were reduced a LOT, and the efficiency went up quite a bit too!

I just breech, bang and clear so it doesn't matter how quiet my DM4 is, since they are already deaf by the time I get there anyway.

well considering that the DM4 is a tournament marker, and you pretty much know where the other team is at all times, well you do if you and your team comminicate.

I have taken my DM4 to a scenario game and it was pimpin, even during night play where I could sorta see where noise would matter, it was quiet enough. But put it this way, if you elimintate sound, wheres the fun at night trying to get the other guy out?

i really cant tell you i used to run a huge 88/45 tank and i never ran it dry. Ill get numbers soon cause im going out this week with my new 04 maxy and ill run it dry. Its a 68 45 so i can give u some numbers. It should be around 6 pods i would guess though. ( and a hopper )
