nppl too harsh?

nppl are DQ'ing people left and right latley, they dont even give the people a chance to fix there markers, i kno they are trying to do an intimidation/scare factor to show people how bad bouncing guns are, but DQ'ing from the tourny is alittle much, think how much that team payed to play there, the airfare, traveling costs, paint, everything.

Too harsh? NO, not if the reason for the DQ was bouncing markers. I mean come on, how long has it been against the rules? Everyone knows its illegal, and that the NPPL is working harder than ever to stop it.
Yes the teams spent alot of money to play, but if they were DQ'd for bounce they had to have known it was possible (likely) that they would be checked, and they took the illegal guns anyway?!

While I think a lot of the robot-marker testing stuff is hype, I don't feel that they are too harsh on teams that get caught, it's not like they get drummed out of the league.

If your marker is bouncing you know it, and you should take measures to prevent it from happening or face the consequences.

another thing I've noticed is that the refs are making the right calls, but at the wrong time, or too many of the wrong calls which are "right"

I.e pulling a one for one, but then not seeing that the one for one was pulled, and pulling a second player, making it a 2 for 1.

people. its not that hard to make your gun not bounce.

i dont really give a **** about them be strict but really. all the ppl that play like rookie and **** who get DQd for bounce are fools. Even some of the peeps that are higher. if u gonna ahve bounce atleast have a way to make it not bounce for the chrono guy or reff who checks it.

Its not that hard to get past the refs, and the robot. Use your imagination if your going to cheat, plan, and execute it flawlessly if you decide to cheat.....

You know why they are harsh on the bouncing guns it because they are having trouble coming down on the ramping boards which all the Pro's have

ramping boards are easy to catch with the robot, mechanical trigger bounce is so easy to find its not even worth it to ever try and cheat with it. But a ramping gun that is not locked in ramp mode, and can be changed externally is almost impossible to catch(especially if there isnt even a button). but you have to be smart to know how to do it, your average run of the mill cheater wont know to put a hall effect sensor in the grip and know how to re-program the board to do certain ramp modes when a magnet is introduced into the surrounding area.... these cheaters in theory will never be cought in my opinion, unless they make a huge mistake

Copied from the Chop Shop DQ'd thread about my team:

ok..Here's an update as to why our team was DQ'd....

As for the pink paint thing...that wasn't the case. Although our Chronic logo's on the front of our jersey's were too close of a match to the orange paint being shot and therefore we had to put tape across the chronic logo.

As for being DQ'd, it has to do with a Tadao board in one of our Ironment trix's. Trust me guys...we are definitely NOT cheaters. Here's how it went down. One of our back guys was asked to put his gun in the robot after a game yesterday. They set it up to do 3 strings of 30 shots. First string was fine...29 out of 30 shots. Second string was 34 out of 30 shots. Third string was 35 out of 30 shots.

We want EVERYONE to know that we did NOT intentionally play with a bouncing gun. Our guy was unable to get it to bounce beforehand and thought he was safe. The ref's could not get it to bounce before they went out onto the field as well. The robot was what got the gun to bounce. We understand that rules are rules and we do not feel bad that we were DQ'd. We understand the rules and abide by the rules and we take full responsibility for having a gun that bounced. If we really wanted to cheat...we would have had a lot more extra shots than just 4 or 5. We'll chalk this one up as a very expensive lesson learned. Our entire team pays for our travel, entry, and accomodations on our own.

I just wanted to clear things up. As for Chop Shop, I'm not sure what the situation is with them but heard that they had the same problem about the Chronic logo as we did. Looks like we'll be buying some fabric dye and changing the color ASAP.

Hope this clears things up

Yea but the thing is now-a-days, you cant get guns not to bounce, they are all made with bounce. And I dont want to hear turn your debouce up, because on just about with all the timmys with frenzy boards that I have seen, debounce does not do jack ****,
But basically my point is that manufactures these days are producing guns that bounce out of the box and it is very hard to keep some guns from bouncing.

So it was a trix and not a A4 fly...

Well I guess that clears the next story I was hearing... lol..

I have a few friends on Chop... Sorry to hear about this lesson.. Sucks all the same.. But I sitll believe that if a Robot will be used for spot checks, This Robot needs to be in mass production so that There can many robots at the event for teams and players to check their equipment.

You can not make your equipment pass the tests unless you know that it is failing..

Chop Shop was using A4 Fly's when they were DQ'ed. You're confused.
