the throttle is dissapointing, even though this is the wrong forum, il still answer your question.
in a test done by PGI, the throttle did horribly, tieing its self with an ACI bulldog3. save up a few more bux, and grab a crossfire or a PMI tank, they are better all around. Higher recharge and higher flow.
I run a throttle on my dm4, and I haven't had a single problem with it...no shoot down...as soon as it starts sucking like everybody SWEARS on their grandma's grave that it does...I'll get a crossfire...until then...it looks pretty damn good on that gun...lol..
I would not have a Dye regged tank if you gave it to me. I stood there first hand at the Chicago PSP, talkin with Flops (Trauma tech) and on the table were all the trauma guns and tanks. 3/4 of the Dye regged tanks had stripped threads and so forth. Best reg I have seen and I personally use is the Crossfire LP.
I own 2 Dye throttles and have never had a problem with them. I've used them on my DM4, Alias, Strange and cocker. Absolutely no shootdown. But as mention before the threads on the reg are too soft. They will strip easily if not carefully threaded. Other than that I love my tanks.
i got a throttle also and so do a few of my buddies, i shoot a 03 dye trix myself and have no problems at all plus its really comfy, and my friends shoot dm4;s and an alias and no problems there great tanks if you ask me
i just got a throttle, but the head had stripped threads and the works. i just slapped a wgp head on there and called it a day. still waiting for the loctite to dry so i can air it up and check it out.
