*Official* Dm4 vs. Other marker thread
As Suggested, i went ahead and made it. Post your Dm4 Vs. Other marker arguments here.
But, there must be some rules Layed down.
NO Flaming
Dont post unless you have knowledge of either marker you are comparing.
keep it clean, and keep it smart. I dont want The Dm4 pwnz all and that being the whole post. What is the point of that?
So, lets start off with a Vs.
Dm4 Vs. Alias----- first discussion. Go at it guys!

Stock trigger on both, DM4 feels better.
The board on a DM4 is easier to rip on.
Alias is less bulkier, and lighter.
DM4 is quieter.
Alias is comfier than the DM4.

Alias-
ram driven design- leads to more kick
slightly higher in maintinence and ease of dissassembly
LCD
more variations for sale
Cannot use conventional/stickey style grips ATM
lighter than dm4
more efficient till evolve is out for dm4
Dm4-
Spool valve-less kick
easy dissassembly and maintinence
Led
slightly hevier in stock form, not sure about ST version
Stickey grips stock
less efficient, but not horrible
internal, self setting lpr
personal opinion on grip. I dont like the hump in the clammy, i prefer the straight backed feel of the dm4.

I own a DM4 and this weekend My gun was shooting good
but then i tried a timmy for the first time. It was a Russian Legion and to me the timmy was as or more accurate than my DM4. I could shoot it faster and I just loved it.
But thats just my opinion.

i own a dm4 and i have owned a timmy personally i think the dm4 is more accurate because of the spool valve design and it has no kick on the other hand timmy's are easier to shoot faster and a little lighter but they also have kick. I think it's personal preference.

ok dm4-
newer technology
less bolt pieces
easier maintinence
lighter
smaller
same efficiency stock
ironman- well the ironman doesnt offer any thing the dm4 doesnt already beat it in, there is no advantage of an ironman over a dm4, unless you really like changing your breach. i found it just to be more of a pain tho.

Alias > DM4. About a pound lighter, balances out just as good, so the all around setup just feels a lot lighter.
LCD is much better for fine tuning imo.
Alias is smaller, shorter from front to back and top to bottom. It does kick more than the DM4, but it's not enough kick to mess up up accuracy in any way.
Maintenence is equal.
Alias has better stock efficiency.
Alias has better stock board. (Solely because the Frenzy 116 comes stock with Mbounce and you need to buy a tadao chip for the DM4 to get that excellent feature).
Until the evolve comes out for the DM4, the Alias will rule for all positions, and imo always be the best front players gun, just due to the weight and size of it. Ease to rip on the markers is equal, considering that soon enough you can get a techna trigger for both, which will make them equally as fast, just depends on the person after that.
The DM4 does have nice features like allen wrenches, parts kit, ect stock, but it's not enough to beat out the Alias.

I bought a naughty dog timmy about 5 weeks ago...absolutely loved it.............until the solenoid crapped out and they would not cover it under warranty (even though it was not my fault). So basically, I spent $1500 on a gun that came with a box, 3 year old photocopied manual, a sheet of stickers, and a "less than desireable" barrel, just so I could spend another $100 once the solenoid bit the dust. I bought a gloss blue DM4 to replace it because I was so pissed. Although I have not played with it yet other than in the back yard, I at least feel after opening the box, that I got my money's worth. (nice box, ultralite, glossy manual, tools and spare parts). Dont get me wrong, Im not going to say that the ND was crap...it was light and very fast with good accuracy. The DM4 to me just seems and feels like quality; something that I think BL need to work on. Lets just say that I am glad to be a part of the family now.

I feel that vs. threads are the best for learning about guns. Sure you can read that an DM4 is fast or has low kick, but its more clear just HOW fast for HOW little kick when you compare it to another gun that you have used.
I don't see why they were banned in the first place, I found they were the best way to learn about a gun. My only issue was maybe that people posted the same vs. threads over and over.

i have no arguement that the fly is faster then the dm4 because i dont know the technical stuff but i shot both and the fly with an MT trigger and magnetic trigger mod is way faster then a dm4 hands down
