im not ripping on your car, but i do build hondas and this is what ive noticed:

im going to have to call bs on the torque and hp numbers off the bottle.

if you are running a b16 you should be around 125lbs of torque. and that hp number is a little high for a stock BLOCK b16 too.

if you have been on the dyno that much post some dyno sheets.

did you put the throttle body and header on after you took those pictures? because in the picture they are stock. and 69mm is way to big for a b16.

post your dyno sheets

there is no such thing as a spoon block and spoon head.

also, there is no such thing as "low compression rods" its low compression pistons.

you CANT have a vafc AND a hondata computer.

post your dyno sheets

12:1 compression is a lot for that much nitrous without some serious tuning and high octane gas (like 113).

how and why did you fit your 3" stainless exhaust to your STOCK muffler. that is pointless and stealing your power.

i dont know how your car doesnt detonate with anything below 91 octane, unless you have no timing in it. my civic has 11.5:1 and sometimes knocks with 91.

if you take out that economy ls tranny and put in a b16 or type r tranny with lsd you will get about a full second off your 1/4.

post your dyno sheets.

if you want some real honda advice, go to www.honda-tech.com it is hands down the best forum for hondas.

Somehow I highly doubt these numbers off a 1.6L...especially the ones with the bottle. You have a stainless exhaust with rusting headers? Where did you get this Spoon engine from? I smell BS...

well,there is no bs here thats what it does,and i bought a crate motor stright from japan,had spoon on the box,thats what the sales recipt said,and anyway i do have 3"stainless,have u eve4r been to a exhaust shop,did it all my self.and i have a honda data computer,and a avfac,the rusty header yep its rusty,its the stock one that came with the motor,im on vacation in fl this week when i get home i will scan the dyno runs and post them,the car nocks,bad at times i do get detaniton,i blew #3 spark plug the whole electroide apart,it back fires through the intake,many times so anyway i have nothing 2 prove by lieing,come 2 st.louis check it out i dont care

90-93 Integra RSi/XSi, 89-91 Civic SiR, 92-95 Civic, 90-91 Civic/CRX SiR are all the places the JDM B16A can be found. They differ in HP from 158-170 depending on what model in year. Regardless if it came out of those it isn't a Spoon block.

I don't believe so. Its a B16a swap with some "spoon" stuff on it. If he got it crated from japan then he wasted money . You can just order the spoon stuff and bolt it on.

Don't take my word on it because i could be wrong since i'm not a big tech in the honda department even though i used to own one.

its just harder to find a b16a in the states, whereas in Japan they are abundant and generally cheaper.

Well Spoon/Mugen is Honda's Nismo, TRD, SVT, SVO or Mopar. Just the factory race team. The block if it was really a Spoon is basically like a built crate motor from Mopar with pistons and such. The B16A in straight V1 or V2 trim was never offered over here and a B16A has a cable type clutch while a B16A2 and newer has a hydro clutch. With older HB and such that use cable type it's more a direct swap then one with a hydro clutch. They have more power and options such as LSD and better gear ratios depending on the tranny. High CR and such.
