Getting a new car; sensitive cars

Well, I might get a new car pretty soon; Hopefully within a month or so. My parents wants me to get a new car, (yes a new one), for something less than 22k. Heres a list of cars that me and my parents are looking at:

-Honda Hybrid (gas saver)
-Honda CRV (my mom wants me to get this.)***
-Toyota Coralla
-VW Jetta (Not bad if upgraded. Chicks car though.)
-VW Passat

My mom wants me to get something domestic. So no ford, cheve, or something like that.

***Also im hate very sensitve cars. You know, whenever you push the gas it jerks. Its ghey.

The jerk you speak of is called torque. You shoulden't have a problem with that if you buy a japanese import unless it is a Nissan. And the CRV's catch fire, thats always fun.

agree with 174, check out the Scion TC. Mazda 3/6's are also nice. A base Saab 92x is around 22k so you might wanna look at that.

Out of the ones that you listed, I'd go with the Passat, but check out the Scion tC and Mazda 3 or 6. All relatively cheap and get decent gas mileage.

Like every single car Nissan makes, will burn rubber in all gears.

SVT Focus' are sick man. It is a real drivers car. They do not have any low end torque but it pulls after 3k. I'm also a big fan of VW GTIs too.

He said no American cars. I would get a GTI, the rest of your options are terrible.

Why wont your mom let you get a domestic? Domestic parts are cheaper than most import parts from my experince. A brand new KIA tranny, going to a dealer, costs about $1200, and thats at there price. You can pick up domestic parts for 3/4 of that price(hope I said that right).
