first car undecided

well... im kinda stuck between a few cars

im kinda interested in a 97-98 F-150
an 03 matrix xr
an 03 Tacoma
and a 01 mustang(regular... nothing special)

my parents are kinda pushing towards a pick up so i found two that i liked

but what i was really looking into was a nice little car(cheap... but nice)

anyone know what would would probably work best for a first car with a person that has been driving about a year

I would go with the matrix. I hear it get's great gas mileage and would make a good car. Anyway most of it depends on what you want/need to do with you car.

seriously dude

take a look at the Scion's

they might be ugly but the fact that they are built on the Toyota platform means they will run for EVER!

The new TC is actually VERY hot and looks good at the same time. However if you need something with some storage in the back...look into the Xb or the Xa www.scion.com

I just picked up a 04 Tacoma Prerunner V6. Its a fun truck. Having a truck is practical for PB and all the girls in carlsbad think its a 'hot' guys truck. Well, thats what my gf and her friends say.

the problem with a matrix is its a station wag on a Corolla platform. If they had just put it on a camry platform(see prius just without the hybrid engine), it would have been AWESOME.

Trucks have always been useful in my eyes, especially those with 4 doors. Too bad they get crappy gas mileage.

My vote goes with the Tacoma, I know of a lot of old Toyota trucks that run to this day without a hickup, just a bunch of dents.

a tacoma will be faster, just as reliable, better looking, more practical(with an extended cab),and they have high resale value than a scion, i say tacoma
