New Planet Eclipse CS1.5

PE has made some changes to the CS1 based on the CSR/CSPro & is releasing the CS1.5. More info should be forthcoming from Bitburg.

How was nothing done to the grips? Their is a 5 page post in the PE forum asking for thinner grips, Impact sands down the grips on their guns and pretty much every review has had this complaint. CS1 might be the best gun ever but the front grip is way too thick. Its frustrating that the response from Planet is to just deal with it.

Edit: Looks like I didn't read through that thread thoroughly enough, the complaint is often about the rear. The CS1 is the best gun ever made besides the grips. Specifically the shape/thickness of the front grip and the thickness of the rear. I guess this is an opportunity for a third party to make some if such a demand truly exists.

I shot close to 100 cases through a CS1 last year and played 4 NXL events with it. I really gave the grips a chance but never got around to liking them any more. I still liked the gun quite a bit obviously, it's just been the missing piece on a masterpiece type of thing for me. Perfect world for me is a front grip shape closer to a luxe/vanquish and a thinner set on the back.

a. They weren't sanded down, they were prototypes that were 3D printed.

b. Many love the thick feeling of the grip.

c. The front grip is too thick? The thread you referenced discusses the rear grip almost exclusively.

The foregrip has two batteries in it. You can't make it significantly thinner.

The rear grip is what we hear people say is too thick at the back. This is often by people who just pick up the gun and hold it, and not actually used it in anger in a game.

It would be lovely if we could just drop $30k here and there on grip tooling to please every individual player. But that just isn't economically viable. Sorry

Jack

I agree, you can never please everyone. I personally love the thick grips.

Edit: Jack I know it's early, but would those low rise feednecks be sold seperately as an upgrade for CS1 owners maybe?

Also is there a difference in the new pops ASA other than just the milling and (I assume) lighter weight?

PS I still think the original CS1 has the sexyest milling out of all of them

love everything about this post.
Nothing is the same when being done or used in anger.
And i think the cost of tooling for molded parts is grossly under estimated by the majority of people.

rightfully defended.

on another note. Jack find a new hobby stop spending so much time on new PB products.

Less than the CS1, more than the CSR. Because science.

Amazing looking gun. I'll never understand the demand for carbon fiber barrel, but this one is definitely one of the best ever made at least.

Really love these mid-cycle soft refreshes to the line.

There is a bunch of cool little things on the 1.5 that will add to player enjoyment.

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
