Good to see a schedule up.

Pretty disappointed in the loss of 10 man, we were putting together a team. However, I totally understand the numbers for 10 man simply weren't there.

Last year, per playuwl.com, it was $400 for Tactical 5-man if you register early.

Ha! Very true.

I'm big on large numbers for woodsball, though. I'd never be interested in 5 man in the woods, 10 man seems perfect, IMO. I'll give 7 man a shot before complaining too much.

10 and 15 man teams way before my time were the norm, and leagues had no problem filling leagues with that format. Why is it harder now?

15 man was before my time, but it has always been difficult to field 10-man teams. Back in 10-man's glory days, most local tournaments were 3 or 5. 10-man events were mostly just national events. If you had a local 10-man, it often drew just a few teams. We went away from them because Xball promised to me more spectator and TV friendly.

I love playing 10-man UWL, but there is always a flurry of last second recruiting to get 10 players.

Thanks for the clarification, and I noticed the scramble to get players for 10 man, too. I came in towards the tail end of 10 man in the modern tournament game, so my memory is foggy.

It's weird that the UWL is a nationally based league, is in an environment that is more invoting to players (woods) and still can't draw enough 10 man teams though.

Maybe the demographic has just changed.

Competitive woodsball is a foreign concept to 90% of the player base.

I only ever played two woods tourneys waaaay back around 2000/2001. I play with may of the same dudes as I was then today but none of them seem particularly interested in trying tourney woodsball. Which kind of works out as there's no such thing here.

Biggest problem with UWL is that it's just too damn far for most people. They need more tournaments within driveable distances for more people in order to build the fan base. Easier said than done I know, but yeah.

UWL looks ridiculously fun! Haven't played in the woods in at least 7 years.

We once showed up at a 10 man tourney with only 6 players. We didn't do so well
