cyborg seems to out skill trix?

Ive got a trix right now ..2k2 led...i hate the efficiency!

and always loved cyborgs and heard great things about them. Honestly in your oppinion do you think selling off my trix is a good thing to do so i can invest in a cyborg?

of course answers r gona b bias (not everyone) Im pretty sure the cyborgs come pretty much up'd and ill search for other upgrades available.

So yea a simple yes or no with a statement to back it up would be great

thanks everyone Dave

Why don't you just get an Evolve kit for the Matrix? You aren't going to get the resale value you want from the Matrix and they're otherwise closely tied. Shoot what you like better.

well heres where im standing. I am either going to sell the amtrix and buy a cyborg OR upgrade my matrix.

I need to Put a good 500-600canadian into it before im done. Evolve bolt kit, eyes, evoleve frame other ****. So thats why im wondering if i hould sell and just buy a cyborg.

Cyborg seems to have everything on it allready that i want.

I live in a small town and theres only 1 intimidator,1angel 1bushy 3-4 impulses , 2 trixs. All rest r spyder tippman n other crap.So i really wont geta chance to shoot one unless i bought it..

Anyways i got most info i need now i think..
Thanks again

Cyborgs have fewer o-rings then the Trix, and fewer potential problems. They are smaller, lighter, easily as fast, shoot just as accurately, break very very little paint, and will have a much better resale value, (if you ever decide to resell) then the trix. Several of the guys on my team have matrixes, and I had number 59, I know Matrixes fairly well. iven the option between those two guns. get the "Borg. You'll be happy you did.

Bastion is where I bought mine. These guys are excellent to deal with. Excellent customer service and I like the one tax thing because of them being in Vancover.

*goes and gets popcorn*

Ball 1 from paintball marker X going 299fps will go exactly as far as Ball 2 from paintball marker Y as long as that ball is travelling the same speed.

But the thing is, most of the time they aren't

hehe...to say I disagree, would that start a dis war?

I disagree.

There are some guns that will shoot farther then others, take the cockers closed bolt design...and the lower pressure, compared to say, an Angel LCD. Jen had an Angel, used it for about a year and a half, and got very used to how it shot. Switched to a cocker, and found for a while she was shooting over the back bunkers when sweetspotting...just shooting it the same as she would her angel, but due to the cockers better range, shot too high. They were set at roughly the same velocity, always around 285 FPS.

My point being, some guns WILL shoot farther then others at a similar given velocity.

I find that completely untrue. I own both a Cocker, Cyborg and Angel... they all shoot the same. The only way a ball is going to travel faster at the same velocity is if it has backspin...lots of it. You're not going to get enough spin to make a difference just from a closed bolt design.

Oh yah? Well I think...........................................

This is probably one of the most debated issues in the history of paintball. I know from experience what I have said range wise...others may not notice a similar difference. But then other people may also not know the difference between a 1967 and 1968 Mustang Hardtop.

Ooooooo...I just know someone's gonna be mad at me for this....

The thing is, perfect backspin is the only thing that's gonna give you more range. Other than that, you're just imagining it because the only way with no backspin to get longer range is for the velocity and angle to be different. Shoot two guns each at exactly 280fps with the exact same paint (weight, size, etc.) at the exact same angle with no wind and no hinderance in the barrel, etc., and you'll get the same distance. No matter what.

Trix is nice but as you say that is a LOT of money to put into that Trix and resale isn't going to be there. The Borg is still hard to find so resale is great if do end up not feeling the love.

Sell Trix...get Borg then if you don't like it.... sell Borg to get a DM$ or some other gun you do love.

Also Borg is sooo much lighter.

As far as farther shooting.......... I find I am able to hit more distant targets more easily with certain markers. Thta is where I will leave this debate.

YEs having the newest gun is super cool. I have had a number of "first" guns in Canada. But that comes with being a gun *****.

I had the first two Tribals in Canada too...I wish that company owner never took off with everyone's money. The gun had serious potential.

^probably because some guns are lighter, more stable, and don't bounce around as much because of recoil.

some guns shoot farther (only by a bit) in my experience of testing guns with same paint and barrels, it is just like some guns are more accurate than others!

now don't turn this into a massive debate!
