Why do you need a captain?

My friend wants to know and he won't listen to me.

There's loads of reasons why u need a captain on a tournament team:

- To do everything noone else wants to do... like sorting out the money end of things.

-To get the team together for meetings

-To find out about tournaments and get enough of the squad together to actually play them

-To organise training days etc.

-To get in contact with potential sponsors and current sponsors and sort out deals etc... It really helps if the sponsor can get to know one person on the team quite well... If your captain gets along with them the deal is always MUCH sweeter.

-And last but not least so there's someone to blame if and when it all goes wrong

Every group or organization needs a leader, someone to look up to if something happens. A captain is the person that keeps the team pumped and makes important decisions. If there was no captain, the team would disagree on everything and nothing would get done.

if you are starting a team with this fellow dont force him to be captain. he would suck at it. get someone willing and who knows what they are talking about. not some half asser who will make excuses for every little thing. like why captains are even needed in the first place. thats stupid.

the team im on, instead of having one person in charge of evrything, split up everything. We have a person that goes to the captains mettings, a person that sets dates, a person that talk with sponsors and possible sponsors, etc etc

Yeah, same thing with my teams dyepaintbalerlgp
send one person to the captains meetings, one person filling out registration forms, getting guns ready. It just ties together nicely.
