Lightbulb New JT Barrel

Has anyone tried the new JT barrel that is being advertised in the July Issue of APG? I have a 12 in. JnJ 2-piece that I'm not whole-heartedly impressed with. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

They look awesome (10 times better than any CP ever made), and they shoot good two. They look really well made, and if you don't feel like shelling out for a freak I would highly recommend getting one.

Currently they are offered in a .690 bore size. I do believe that they are offered in other bore sizes..but I'm not sure, I'll ask SK later to get a for sure answer.

IMO they are fine barrels.

As for these thread, I'm moving it to the barrel forum.

HostileIntent owns a Planet Eclipse Geo
at www.paintballgeeks.com when you order a JT barrel you can choose your bore size. Just thought I'd pass that along.

I just saw these barrels at a local shop (Gateway Paintball). I am exremely impressed by them. I had a freak, sold it to get the Warped Dark barrel system. I think the quality on the JT is much better than anything I've seen.

The stainless back is the most shiny, with no sharp edges. Very nicely made. O-rings on the back and the front pieces.

I don't think these are made by CP. I've yet to see CP make any stainless stuff. I could be wrong though.

10"

My wife bought me a 10" JT barrel recently (No she doesn't have a sister). It is a really, really well made piece, there is no denying that. It looks great and the two pieces feel very solid when screwed together.

The performance on the field did not blow me away or anything. It performs as well as any other quality barrel with a good paint match.

It is not exactly cheap but it is a barrel that is going to last. I'll be keeping mine.

If you are expecting to screw on this barrel and say "WOW, It is SO much better than my J&J", sorry that just ain't going to happen. The J&J barrels are nice themselves and as long as your paint matches the barrel any difference in performance is going to be inperceptable.

Peace,
Mike.

Hmmmm, if you know you need the right paint to barrel match, and marbs didn't fit, why are you disappointed with the barrel. Buy new paint that will fit the barrel better.

.690 should work fine for both. It's better for the barrel to be a little big than small.
