Error

I get this error: Windows Socket Error: (11001) on API "ASync lookup" when it goes to the login screen thing. Where you type your password and after that it comes up again when my desktop comes up. Everything seems to work fine but I was wondering what it is and how I can get rid of it.

That usually means something altered your winsock files, like winsock.dll, AOL does it and so do some viruses. go to http://housecall.antivirus.com and do that check.

Ok I did the scan thing and it found no virii. I dont have AOL but I do have AIM. I dont think thats it because I had AIM installed about a week before this started happening. Could it be anything else cuz its really annoying me and I want it to be gone.

I've never encountered this porblem, and I don't know how to fix it, but I would try removing and then adding Windows networking components in the Add/Remove programs in control panel.
